so your a virgin?

When you are old...when your sex drive is no more...then love no more...?

im the type of person who doesnt care about lust, Sex is a way of showing u love your partner and u trust him .

Trust through sex...? What if your partner cheat you...?

then theres something wrong whit your partner .media is filled whit Big Fake ****** and Blondies so its not a suprise people will always want lust instead of relationships = Cheating.

Then you lost the most precious thing in your life...your virginity...better preseve it to someone who you trust and trust you in marriage....we gain trust through marriage...marriage is the symbol of trust, not sex

If you really trust me...marry me...

Well you said sex is the way of showing trust, then it is a symbol of trust for you...

If marriage no longer represent trust, then divorce, that is a symbol of mistrust, do not trust anymore...

Marriage is trust...till death do us apart....

heh ur looking at the wrong way, When u have sex with your partner it means u trust and love her/him at the time. .
im not talking about everlasting love. im talking about the moment. So id rather have sex cause of love then lust. it just feels better

the thing is i dont believe in anything permanent cause lets admit it ,To live is to suffer and we get distracted from suffering cause of the little moments that we enjoy. and we will always want more. what i mean is its just better grabbing the little moments when u can instead of waiting for something that might be a disapointment , Like marriage.

ok DatOneFanboy and Qistina, I don't mean to be rude to either of y'all

BUT

You're both technically off topic, romance yes, but this is a forum for romance in the game.
You are both entitled to your own opinions.
I personally think it's great that you save your virginity for marriage! No not everyone does it! But I think it's honorable. Sex with a person you love is a sign of trust yes. Sex in lust is just a personal opinion that ranges from person to person.
Everybody is entitled to that opinion.

Not all marriage turns out to be a disaster just like how all mages are not blood mages.

Alright now back to the point at hand.

I loved DA:O romantic freedom but I liked how your relationship progressed in DA2 but no, there was nothing after sex, no serious talks, no hugs and kisses, nadda. I want the little things that make a relationship, those kisses, hugs, flirty moments, comments from your companions, a few quests that have to do with your LI. I also really loved in DA:O how your romance with Alistiar and Morrigan was plot related. Anders...kinda was...sorta in DA2.

Sex and love ARE THE EXACT SAME FRIGGIN THING!

7th graders know this, and 7th grade is when you reach a peak understanding of such affairs.

That being said, they should deepen the experience of the first one.

They could but they don't have to since there are asexual people who want love but not sex, and there are people who just want sex with no string attached.

Asexual people! We shant be catering to this insignificant margin of the populous! I would be deeply suspicious of anyone who makes such claims as having null sexual attraction. Likely, they took an endocrine hit. Let's pump the self proclaimed (male) asexual types full of testosterone and make them watch a few sexually explicit films and see how engaged they are! lol

Sex without strings? Why what ever do you mean sir? Is there any other type?

*If you can't tell I'm joking DA:I's romances really should take some inspiration from some of the better/saner/less squicky ideas put forth on this forum *Dave of Canada's for example*

I think they should do away with romances altogether, once they accentuated a Bioware story but lately it feels that they have become more important than the main plots, and the main plots are suffering because of it.

maybe different country and races have different culture, saving virginity is common here, and it is the most important, it is not something that "wow!', it is something that "hmm mmm", it is like having sex before marriage is common to you...

Something more meaningful that hug/kiss/share a secret/sex/moving in together?

Sacrifice, pregnancy, letting him/her go (or abandoning) for his/her sake... Meeting parents?

Virginity is not precious -- at least not to me, nor to anyone I've ever spoken with.  I wasn't a virgin when I met my husband, nor was he, and it was a complete non-issue.  People make too big a deal out of sex OR the opposite and treat it as if it's nothing.  But sex is a great way to express your love -- it's making yourself completely vulnerable to another person so it's not like it is just another thing to do.  But it's not something that is world changing either -- it's one of our basic drives, and fortunately, it can be a lot of fun as well.

And as an aside, even old people usually still have sex.  Depending on what you consider "old" of course -- people who are frail, probably not, but people who are healthy and robust?  That's part of what keeps them that way.

Had I married the first person I fell in love with, my life would not be nearly as wonderful as it is with my husband.  And us not getting married had nothing to do with trust -- it had to do with us being teenagers.

ANYWAY, I hope DA3 has realistic romances, and the option to have sex can be there at several times.  That sex doesn't have to happen at a scripted moment, and if the protag decides to wait, that doesn't end things.  I'd love it if you had another FWB situations that develops into something WAY more, unexpectedly.  It would be fun if it could be the Inquisitor who wanted a casual thing and has the option to fall in love.

But most of all, I just hope for an excellent story, with well written subplots to draw me in more.

These threads always provide so many lols; from the people who think the entire game should be focused on their romantic subplot and include things like marriage and children, to the people who rage at how Bioware games are turning into dating sims despite the romance only being about 10 minutes in a 30-hour game, to the just plain bizarre posts like that wacky one I see quoted a few posts above me about pumping asexuals with testosterone.

Never change, BSN.

I'd like if the romances were actually involved in the story and themes, Morrigan and Alistair were the closest I've seen to actual integration of the romances in the main story and I loved that. I grow weary of player wish and fantasy fulfillment being the sole reasons why romances and sex scenes are implemented.

I'd like to see a romance used as a subversive weapon against the player.

You're not the only one.

I'd actually think that'd be hilarious. Much more realistic too.

I like how the romances in Dragon age 2 progress though the game and change the character like with Isabella how u can change her in to a better person origins didn't have that

it could to a point in origins with alistar and leliana where they could be hardened or not and it made a difference in some parts. but I really liked how they did issabela
