it also ensures ME3 MP servers will likely run for a long time

Nope. They have stopped developing MP DLC content which is needed to sustain the microtransaction business model - there is no need to spend real money on a Spectre pack if you have already maxed out all weapons.

People with maxed RARE weapons even would only make up likely 5% of the player base at a very generous estimate. It personally took me 350H play time to max all rare unlocks. It'll take that long again for UR's (Personally it's not my goal to max UR's)

I'm sure packs being purchased has indeed taken a sharp dive, however it's still some form of return on keeping the servers live, something that will help the decision to keep them running. All good things must come to an end, but I don't see that coming yet for ME3 MP.

EA... really didn't do anything to Mass Effect, did they?  Aside from publishing and bankrolling it, I mean. Far as I can tell, it was Bioware who made all of the creative decisions.

Dead space 1..great game
Deap space 2.. great but a bit different
Dead Space 3.. whoa! action shooter game

Same happened with ME as well. Fk EA seriously. They ruin every franchise they buy.

Clearly, this man/woman/asexualbeing has very savvy business acumen posting an offer to buy the Mass Effect IP on the multiplayer forum! His contacts in the business world must make him BILLIONS!

I'd say all EA did to this game was promote this very multiplayer mode we so love.
I'd say rumours of Shepard's adventure being rushed are kind of just that, unless proof can be pulled. If anything was cut, I'd say it's for disc space. Completely different concern. And multiplayer got cuts first anyway, as evidenced by the Citadel DLC stealing development time from the Firebase Echo map that led to the latter being Dummied Out, as well as polonium rounds, the BF3 Infiltrator, and all kinds of other stuff.

And before anyone mentions the conclusion to the game - that was the lead writer and producer from BioWare getting big heads, and EA mistakenly trusting them until the inevitable and justified (then, not so much now) backlash caused them to get involved and ironically play hero for a change.
