Considering he explicitly says there's no need for a Doctor anymore and chooses to influence his regeneration, it seems more like he's the one to blame.

The 8th would be more deserving of it as he made the choice.

So if Moffat lies...
Can we have Eccleston already?
It would be brilliant to see Eccleston again, but thats up to him. So far we've got the same denials out of him and Moffat, so who knows.
It's a real shame that Christopher Eccleston won't be involved, but it is said he is a stickler for not going back to old roles. I think he's a great actor (sorry 'fantastic' actor)!
Just saw the second trailer for the 50th on the good ol' BBC - so looking forward to the 23rd. And thanks for posting the link to the mini-episode.
Edit - link to a short preview of the Day of the Doctor which was shown during Children in Need - www.youtube.com/watch

That's kind of the point. Each incarnation is different, and judging from the 11th's response to the War Doctor, enough to assign some blame to each instead of just himself in general.
The 8th would be more deserving of it as he made the choice.
The 8th made the choice to become the War Doctor, BUT the War Doctor made the choices that ended the war.
So the 11th's anger is appropriately directed.
The 8's entire run was characterized by good deeds in the name of the Doctor. He killed himself, so that he could become a capable warrior.
However, it seems that the War Doctor went overboard (destroying his own people).
His subsequent incarnations resent him for that.

There'll be plenty more context given when the episode airs anyways.

"You're a true romantic, a real believer in the power of people and their collective abilities.
You may have seen some unpleasant things in your time, had to deal with traumatic events, but you've never let them soil the purity of your faith in the basic goodness of humans, and this is written across your face.
It's a hugely attractive feature, and this can sometimes lead you into trouble. but people generally feel better for having spent some time in your presence."
And that descriptions actually pretty accurate for once.

Your result: Congratulations! You're the First Doctor
Some people think you are crabby and difficult to get close to. They may have a point, but what they see as rudeness is just you being careful with the friends you pick.
You have incredibly high standards, but once someone has proven themselves to be worthy of your attention you'll pull an entire planet apart for them. And rescue them in the event of a Dalek attack.
Also, woe betide anyone that thinks you are frail or weak. There's a spark in your eyes that could become a raging fire.
I'll have to give it another go 'cause I didn't understand some of the things they were asking me.

Do people refer to everyday events in your daily life as "mad schemes"? Do they sometimes call you "impossible," but happily accept the sweets you are quick to offer round as soon as you meet new people? Do you have clothes in your closet that other people simply would not wear, but somehow you make them look pretty good? And are they always on the alert, in case you are seized by an alarming impulse and suddenly have to dash off out of the room? Yeah."
Musn't grumble, he was my first Doctor and he is one of my favourites. Luckily I love Jelly Babies!
I saw a drama last night about the creators of Doctor Who and it was very good. It was called an Adventure in Space and Time. I think it's being shown on BBC America tonight at 9 pm.

It makes me sound a lot more charismatic and boisterous than I actually am, but I the general principle is accurate. He was the first doctor I ever watched so I won't complain.Tenth Doctor
The good news is, people seem to really like you. You're kind and generous and warm company, and you're never short of the right thing to say in a difficult moment.
However, you've been through some fairly tough times, and it can sometimes feel like all of this affection is just raining down and the bouncing back off your defences.
You put on a brave face, but sometimes that feeling of isolation can be hard to bear.
It's just as well you have some amazing friends to help you deal with it.
Allons-y!

Your result: Congratulations! You're the Fifth Doctor
Other people may prefer to shout or seethe or make a fuss in order to get attention, you prefer the quieter approach. You have a lot of youthful zest, a friendly demeanor and an abiding interest in everything around you, but for someone who occasionally makes incredibly eccentric wardrobe choices (look at your lapel), you're actually rather down to earth.
Not that this means you're a pushover, just that you know how to get what you want without bellowing, and you tend to bring the best out in people without dominating them.
