That was pretty damn awesome, from start to finish imo. Even with the quality if video I was stuck watching.

I'm gonna have to buy this on blu-ray. Keep a bit of history with me forever.

By the way, and I'm gonna call out spoilers now for they WILL be inbound-

We have a Doctor re-count.

1. William Hartnell
2. Patrick Troughton
3. Jon Pertwee
4. Tom Baker
5. Peter Davison
6. Colin Baker
7. Sylvestor McCoy
8. Paul McGann
9. John Hurt
10. Christopher Eccleston
11. David Tennant
12. Matt Smith
13. Peter Capaldi

So THINGS JUST GOT REAL INTERESTING

And before you say he doesn't count,

Please don't click this unless you've watched The 50th

He(Moffat) has been saying that we've been miscounting all this time.

Now we know.

And I should say, the part in that video is where I started tearing up on my first viewing earlier today.

When did you folks join up with the show, anyway?

I first started back in the 70s - WOR in New York, 10 AM Saturdays IIRC. My mom told me I ought to watch the show; I have no idea how she found out about it. The syndication package started with the Fourth Doctor. I think I came in with The Ark in Space, which would be quite early.

So, yeah, I squeed a bit at the end of the show.

When they re-aired it, I watched it with my stepfather and my mom.

My mom was never a Whovian. My stepfather watched it though, for a while.

Back in the 70's. Yes, Tom Baker.

HE RECOGNIZED HIM AFTER ALL THESE YEARS

About five years ago, with the Tenth, or should I call him the Eleventh?... Yeah, I'm a baby Whovian.  My mother saw a few episodes in the 70s and recognized Tom Baker at the end instantly though.

I pity the wiki admins that now need to renumber all the references to 9, 10 and 11 to 10, 11 and 12

I joined the fandom during ecclestons tenure as the doctor, back when it was first airing. Saw the episodes with the gas mask plague and captured dalek and have been hooked ever since.

I started watching when Tom Baker was the doctor.  So around 76/77 Yeah, I'm a tad old!  I remember catching reruns of the older doctors, but I was huge fan of the fourth doctor.  I stopped watching when Peter Davison left and didn't pick the series up again until Paul Mcgann did the telemovies.

So I was literally jumping for joy when I saw who the elderly curator was! I half guessed that it might be him, but man, I squeezed like a little girl!

I started watching Doctor Who thanks to my high-school English teacher back in 2005. He gave us an assignment to watch an episode to improve our language skills. After that I was hooked.

Then in Tennants first season I started watching the old seasons and fell in love with the old doctors as well. I almost fell of my chair when I saw Tom Baker walking in.
