I would prefer it if this time he was on the Doctor's side. That would make for an interesting development.
The Doctor and Master have worked together in the past; not sure if you're only a 2005 --> onward viewer, however, and might not have seen those stories.
(Naturally, he always reverts to his true nature...)
In general, however, the character is supposed to be the Doctor's foil. He's less interesting and not fulfilling the character's role when helping the Doctor.
The Master is being played by Charles Dance.

He's one of about three names being thrown around, at present. No one knows, definitively, yet.
Nah, McGann just got a shot taken while he was elsewhere on set near the console room and in costume. No more, no less.
I'd like nothing more than a McGann mini series or something -- I was one of the few faithful fans who was there for McGann in 96, then subsequently read the EDAs put out by the BBC, so I'm a big fan of that incarnation -- but it's not happening.

I thought I'd share with you my playlist of the best of Doctor Who's music, spanning all soundtracks from Series 1 to 7. I'm not going to bother with the iTunes star rating because I use it a bit differently than iTunes probably intends (e.g.: songs that have at least one star are worth checking out again in case they deserve bumping to two stars; all two stars and above songs make my list). I've just listened to "This is Gallifrey" and I have to say I'm surprised I didn't include it in my playlist 'cause it's really good. Consider it added. "The Master's Theme" is a bit evil though. 
I just found a fan intro for Series 8. Watch out for the title of the episode.

Exactly. Moffat doesn't like his episodes realistic.
A video I found and wanted to share of the Pandorica speech. I still don't think it's a fair comparison because all of the actors except for Matt had to improvise on the spot but Tom's and Sylvester's are pretty good anyway. Davison's was far too rushed.

In one episode we learn that the reason the Tardis makes its iconic noise is because the Doctor doesn't park the Tardis properly.
After a thousand or so years you'd think that the Doctor would be proficient at flying the Tardis.
That was awesome.
