I did adore the sendoff that 11 gave for himself, asking Clara to be brave and to be there for 12. Plus, the episode all but confirms my idea that Clara liked 11. And 12 pretty much suggests that 11 liked Clara as well.

They just probably reused that location since it's been also used before in The Forest of the Dead and Torchwood.

I don't think it's River. Its probably a new character or the Master IMO (Missy -> Mistress -> Master)

Pretty much the entire episode was a douche to Clara.

I needed it. I'd been having notebook issues throughout the day and needed a lifter.

 

Speaking of which, going through the web and watching responses on Youtube, it appears the response to the episode is all over the place.

I get it. There were a lot of changes to the status quo, more than just who was playing the doctor.

 

Plus I'd expect for the majority, it'll take more than one episode to be convinced.

Jarring, is what I'd expect for many. I maintain that the show and Capaldi will need a new companion before things truly get underway.

I love all 13 of the ones presented.
