I didn't like it personally.
Spoiler
Most of what I saw didn't seem bad, though I only caught snippets due to the ol'Christmas thing. So I'll definitely have to watch it again.

I'm looking forward to the next series of Dr Who.
Yes I know it's going to be a long wait.
More Peter Capaldi.
Having watched The Thick of It and Dr Who, I definitely want to watch more of Capaldi's work.
I think he was in a Beetles Drama too.

There's a film called "Hotel!" with Peter Capaldi, Paul McGann and Keeley Hawes. It's not a particularly great film, but it works as a daft parody in the same way that Airplane does and it's fun to see a flick where the Twelfth and Eighth Doctor are fighting over the same woman.
On a completely side note, is anyone else curious who Sophie Aldred (Ace) voiced in Inquisition? She apparently did some additional voices for the game and it's been bugging me because I've not been able to figure out who she's voiced?

I never thought of that. However that is an awesome suggestion. High five!

Who fans could also be referred to as "Inpatients", because it takes a bloomin' year of us waiting before the Doctor can see us...
Plus it sounds like impatience, which is what we generally feel, especially about how spotty the service was in the mid-80's. Still, when you consider one time we had to wait sixteen years between appointments, I suppose we really can't gripe?

Indeed. Good thing there are other great shows on television.
America is pumping those out dime a dozen. In Norway, Sweeden and Denmark they are churning out some critically praised shows (I will get round to watching The Killing, The Bridge and Bougen one day). Here in Britain we have a few shows of our own and Japan is still a factory of highly successful animé.
If that wasn't enough Game of Thrones is still running.
Dr Who is a great show, but thank goodness it isn't the only great show out there.

Personally I can't wait for the new animated series of Doctor Who (produced by my apprentice) that will air once the government completes their cuts on the BBC. Unfortunately I was unable to work on it due to my commitments to the new animated series of Sherlock.

Shreklock after the BBC cuts. Eternal Phoenix will be hired to animate cartoon episodes of the series. BBC bosses are confident that the quality of the show won't change.
I'm also the writer so expect lots of sex, drugs and violence. Hopefully my apprentice learns from my example and makes the new Doctor Who with sex, drugs and violence.

Maisie as Susan would be fun, nice to have the character return and see her grandfather again for the first time since his 5th incarnation. Would be appropriate given all the allusions to the First Doctor last series and how Twelve is the "first" Doctor of the new regeneration cycle.
Less likely, but since we're probably all thinking it, is a regenerated Jenny from the "Doctor's Daughter". Sure that episode was pretty awful at times and some fans like to forget it exists like the Metacrisis Doctor, but I did like the idea of the character in theory, just wish she'd been better written and in a better episode.
Or she could be some bog-standard human(oid), but at this point, every character has to be speculated as a Time Lord. It's like, the rules.

Wasn't there some implication in the last episode of season 8 that Clara was pregnant?
That could have something to do with Maisie's character.

I think he's great, and well on the way to becoming one of my favourites. He just needs some more time in the spotlight over his companion. ![]()
That's not necessarily been reciprocated from a lot of people I've talked to. I've heard a lot of people say, 'he's too old.'
Naturally, there's a notable correlation between those who say that and people who've never watched an episode from before the reboot.

Opinions are split. I'm ok with him but a few people think he's just an angry *******.
