I am experiencing an annoying bug. Whenever I try to rest the game freezes, my mouse arrow appears and the game crashes to desktop.
It started after I killed the demonknights in Kuo Toa town. Somehow after I continued to play on I was able to rest at the gnome inn. Then later when I tried to rest again before going into the mindflayer town it happened again.
Both times I had skeleton warriors with me and the party was protected from evil, not sure if that would make a difference.
Here is my weidu log

You could try clearing the cache folder. If that doesn't help the thread below mentions seeing whether there is an issue with one or more of your NPC's so you could boot the party and see if a rest works. If it does, reload and try resting with combinations of NPC's.

If I boot Imoen I can rest at the Gnome inn. The problem is she leaves and I need her for the underdark.
I added 1000 wish scrolls and have used that to rest. It took ten wishes to get the rest option.

You could try emptying her gear/inventory to other characters and emptying her spellbook to see if that narrows the issue down. Also, checking a save in shadowkeeper to see if there are any timer variables specific to her.

Using the wish rest I could replenish spells at the gnome inn. Then went and cleared the mindflayer city with no rest. After that tried to rest outside in underdark - again crash except if I get attacked during rest, then it rests until the attack. After however many attacks occur the crash is back.
So I use the wish rest again and go clear the beholders with no rests. Inside the beholder lair I was able to rest like normal. Not sure if having everyone die and be raised "reset" something or not.
The crash does not occur in save games prior to the underdark or affect any other save games for other characters.
As long as I save before rest this should be manageable even if it continues. Will keep y'all posted with how this manifests itself.
Thanks for the help.Gate70.

I took your advice about looking at her spellbook. There were a few double spells in there - i.e. two copies of breach etc. I deleted the doubles and sk'd in new scrolls to re-learn them.
After that I could rest in the beholder lair, I also could rest in the underdark.
I used npc level one mod to have Imoen match her BG1 class as a level 10 swashbuckler and then dual to mage. Set her up originally in Irenicus's dungeon using SK to set her exp as a swashbuckler, dual class her to a mage and then add in more exp to get her mage levels. When I got her back she reverted back to a pure swashbuckler so I had to do it all over again. The problem must have occurred when I SK added some spells to her instead of Sk'ing in the scrolls, that is how the double spells got there.

Hmm, i see you are playing with SCS2. Would you mind telling me what party members do you have and their levels at the moment ?
