After the Feastday DLC I gave him like, 5 Sugar Cakes in one day. The dude's had enough tbh.

5 Sugar cakes, enough for Sten? TAKE THAT BACK before he hears you... OH NO!!!
Edit: On a serious note though, it would ruin it for me if companions didn't react to your class, like in DAO I would of expect Morrigan to slap my toon for going the templar path or freeze him as punishment while he is naked or something.

Tallis
Tallis was bearable, IMO. She wasn't executed as poorly as a certain other "Thank You IGN" character.
If some seeker or mage pops up named Allers though....
The only thing bearable (barely) about Tallis:sick: was her looks. She is a morally hypocrite in such a way that she can be best described as someone childish. Throw in the fact that Tallis:sick: does everything she can to look 'kwel' and top that with really really horrible voice acting, and you get something you don't want to see again, ever.
Tallis:sick: showing up in the game would be the equivalent of someone throwing feces at me.
Having said that, it won't stop me from buying the game!

Clarification: not being able to choose class, gender etc.
Illogical predefined actions/behavior of protagonist.
Examples: Dialogues with Starboy. "Dreams" in Mass effect 3.
Heavy out-of-character behavior.
Examples: Orsino goes nuts.
Linear quests with predefined aftermath ("illusion of choice").
Examples *spoiler*:
You can't save your mother in DA2 no matter what.
Rachni are alive in ME3 no matter what.

Another would be pushing the strategy and choice levels even further down than DAII did instead of striking that balance between the first two games that we all want.
There's others, of course, but yeah...

I can't answer for the original poster, but for me...
1) waves of enemies coming out of nowhere, what the hell?
2) Being called Dragon Age 2.
Let me explain that second one. I suspect that if DA2 was not part of this franchise, if it had not been a follow up to DAO, umm, I may have liked it.
It's too different, the skills system was screwed up and the combat lost all of the tactical nature of DAO. Now, I know you may not have liked the combat in DAO, but there are quite a few ways to play that game. I have played in an almost first person view as a Dwarven Beserker that never zooms out and it was fun, you can play it that way if you want, but it's still not the button masher that DA2 is.
I can't think of another game like DA2 with that style of combat because I don't normally play them.
As to the original question of the thread, umm certain personel being involved at a high decision making level. So, since that has happened already I am deeply concerned, but I will wait for reviews from people I trust before buying this because of that one reason. Sorry to Bioware, I have a collectors edition of every other modern game you have that option for (not DA2, I never bought it), but I will not be pre ordering this game because you left the SAME PEOPLE IN CHARGE!
Excuse me, I just puked a little in my mouth.
Having said all that, I will give this game a fair shake and start to follow the development, I will give DA2 to Bioware as a mulligan if DA3 comes out okay I will just pretend the second installment does not exist.

Choices I make not changing the outcome of the game.
Multiplayer affecting the single player experience.

i prefered the combat system in DAO to DA2 but i could probally live with it if i had to.
Hopfully they wont try to make it more like the Witcher, which is an awesome game, but they need to back closer to DAO and make the game thier way.

I don't know, I understand the enemies coming out of nowhere-that was annoying as hell.. but the actual mechanics (for lack of a better word) of it was great IMO. A lot faster than DA:O, especially for a Mage. I hated how slow it'd be.. just moving your staff back and forth.Whitering wrote...

That's why I explained it. I am sure that combat works for some people but it should not have been the follow up to DAO, which was an homage to Baldur's Gate. I don't know what DA2 was, but it was not a successor to DAO in any way other than being related by lore.

The gay/Lesbian/Bi characters being either extremely stereotypical (Zevran, Lilliana, Traynor) or so innofensive that they literally are cardboard. (Steve). Next, give all the interesting LIs to the straight people.
