 Well, they have launched a game compatible with Windows 7 .... buuuuut it doens't work on windows 8.  So, anyone solved this problem in anyway already?

Because neither running it in compability with windows 7 or windows xp works.

Actually, neither of the KotOR games were designed for any Windows newer than XP, and in fact, worked best with W2K. After all, the game engine dates to 2002, and relies on OpenGL. KotOR-1 will be ten years old this year.
