Because they don't care what their fans want, hence why that full fail ending was quite literally a middle finger to any who disliked their endings enough to want a fourth option.
Ah yes! The business plan of all successfull companies! "Yeah, ya see? We hates yuze fanz zo we'za gonna give ya da middle finger, see! Cuz that way ya 'ill spend lots o money on our product, see!"
Ok, allow me to translate what a lucid mind (truly an oxymoron for a name considering what he posted) said. "Because they don't care what *I PERSONALLY* want (and since *I* want it surely EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO HAS EVER OR EVER WILL PLAY the game ALSO wants it because the ONLY opinion that is EVER valid is MY OWN), hence why etc etc etc".
Bioware and EA are a company. The purpose of ANY company is to make a profit for their owners/stockholders. They do this by producing a product that other people want. Since they have sold many units of the ME franchise, and are still selling them, and there is apparently an interest in more ME games, movies, books, comics, music, etc, it stands to reason they're making SOMEONE happy.
