We used to bust my buddy IAMxSHADRACH when he used to play and was on top of the Xbox ME3 Multiplayer leaderboards for that. He finally did do the SP playthrough on Insanity after a long while. lol. All that peer pressure but he loved it as he did wait to play it when the extended cut came out so he got a different experience than most of us did. I still loved the SP playthrough regardless of the ending. To me it was the journey.

I always play games on the hardest difficulty but I figured I'd go against the grain here and throw out my opinion that several parts of insane sp were more difficult than your by the numbers gold waves and even what I've done of plat when I've had a team to dabble in, depending on loadout and strategy, and felt quite satisfying to finish, great game overall SP and MP

Didn't play on insanity on my first playthrough. Started playing multiplayer. Can now solo platinum. Wanted to try SP on insanity a while ago. Sniper Infiltrator. Dat time dilation. F*ck this sh*t, I'm out. Haven't bothered ever since.

SP? Oh, you mean the dating simulator. I played it on normal difficulty, mostly for the dialogue.

It's rare that I'll play a game twice. I started playing the first Mass Effect on PS3, but I'm finding the mechanics a little annoying.

I just haven't bothered yet, to be honest.

I went through my one and only ME3 SP playthrough on easy mode. I then went to ME3 MP. And... well, just haven't gone back to the SP. I do have a Shepard I have now gotten through ME1 and is almost through ME2, so I plan to do Insanity when I import her into ME3.

Just, at the moment, I've been wanting to knock out ME3 MP challenges first.

I got 100% achievements on my first ME3 playthrough. I found it less challenging than 2's and to top it all, I think anyone can agree that platinum is harder, way harder than insanity.

Wnat a hard campaign in a scifi shooter? Halo Legendary, want moar? start activating skulls.

SP is not in any way comparable to MP.

Never bothered to do more than a single playthrough. In comparison, I did 5 playthroughs each for ME1 and ME2.

Count me as one of the people who's never played insanity on the PS3, and I might never do it because I can't take the slow load times. I've got a PC, and even though I almost never play MP on the PC more than about once every few weeks, I've done the campaign on insanity eight times there (I still really enjoy SP despite the ending).

Edit because last part of my comment was cut off:

SP insanity is vaguely comparable to a solo silver in MP, maybe, though there is an option in the arena in Citadel DLC that makes the amount of stunlock on Geth Platinum on an open map seem tame (assuming you're not an infiltrator anyway).

I just didn't bother, I guess. I played the story on Normal when I first got it, then jumped into MP for like 7 months straight, then lost interest for awhile, then played ME1 when it got released for PS3 and took that character through ME2 and now about a third of the way through ME3. So I'll get there soon enough, I suppose, though I feel myself losing interest again.  Started a new RDR playthrough to pass time until PS4 comes out.

You're right about one thing, though. If you progressed to where Gold is easy or at least comfortable in MP, SP Insanity is a joke. ME2 Insanity was far more difficult.

ME2 Haestrom was probably the hardest insanity SP moment for me. Some of ME1 was really rough too. In ME3, the only parts of insanity that are even worth mentioning are the Grissom academy main area and the fight with Kai Leng. Honestly the rest is pretty easy. The reason being is that in MP, the levels are balanced at each difficulty, but in SP, it just alters numbers, and it isnt balanced to be a challenge universally, it just some times happens to be because the numbers get overwhelming, rather than it being tactically difficult.

On Insanity in ME1, I couldn't get past the Krogan Battlemaster on Therum.

On Insanity in ME2, I couldn't get past Garrus' recruitment mission (I always run out of time)

On Insanity in ME3? Marauder Shields.

One run of SP on normal from me and I have multiple gold solos and one plat solo done.

If I wanted to do an SP run again I'd have to play ME2 and possibly ME1 again. ME1 bores me to tears and ME2 feels too slow even though it's a 30 hour game.

So I just can't be arsed.

Oh and I can never decide if I should romance Liara or not. I hate her guts. Oh and I still haven't romanced anyone in ME1 due to hating all 3 options. Tali and Garrus FTW!

I played sp on insanity for my first and only playthrough. I definitely wanted the achievement first time around and loved the challenge of completing it before logging 1000+ hours of multiplayer.

On the PS3, you can see trophies (=accomplishments on XBox) of players you meet in matches.  Once in a while I'll take a look at these for players that have impressed me (e.g. dominate the scoreboard) .  It surprises me to see almost all trophies except the insanity one.  I mean, anyone that can solo gold+ should easily be able to do insanity? Heck, I did and I am far less skilled in MP than the elites here.  Takes a different skill set -- maybe just a lot more patience (I used the 'stop action' feature in SP to line up shots -- both mine and teammates powers).

So I wonder why but I guess I'll get the same responses as those given to why not solo matches -- too boring or something.  But, it seems this insanity accomplishment means much more than Lone Wolf or BOTB -- after all the whole world, not just the ME3 community, can see you've got that platinum trophy.

Why in the F would I ever want to play SP again? I played through on normal and washed my hands of Hudson's artistic intregrity. I've played a few times on insanity when the servers were down it's ridiculously easy compared to multiplayer higher difficulties. I'd say Insanity equals multiplayer silver.

I played a few games with the Citadel dlc since it was interesting enough.  I agree it feels like silver except for that fraking maurader at the end he killed me alot until I learned I could wall hack him.  I typically dont play the last hour anymore since its lame.
