This time, I wanna break this rule.
I mean, anyone who has attempted solos at a high level knows that for every "right" run, where everything go as planned, and you get to do what you wanted to... There are tons, and tons of runs in which you get screwed up by something. It can be any number of things: from the rng giving you devices on wave 6 /10 glacier (personally, this is my #1 reason), to the game itself giving you bull**** in some form (synckills come to mind), to... Just you derping around and doing something very stupid.
So this time, I wanna go against the current and show you guys just one of these runs. One in which I derped hard.
Why? Cause it was a very nice run, in my opinion. I did everything right, got the right objectives, positioned myself in the right places... I missed some shots here and there, but I was very satisfied with the overall gameplay. It just didn't seem right to dump this run into the closet and forget about it, so I'm sharing it with you. It also showcases pretty well the potential of this loadout on the Trooper, for those who have never tried it.
The setting was Collectors/Glacier, and I used a Geth Trooper with a Javelin. I was trying to go sub 20, and managed to get to wave 9 in 13:30 with 3 missiles left, and without using any gel or ops pack. Then... Wave 9 just didn't go the right way.
This is how it ended:
I might blame the stupid "one button to rule them all" which made me lock into hard cover instead of dodging (I actually do, at least a bit), but even then... The truth is that I derped out quite a bit. I shouldn't have let myself got sneaked up by the Praetorian that way, and even if I did, dodging left instead of forward would have saved me, probably.
So, without further ado... Let me present you: This Hurts You
I hope you guys enjoy watching it and that maybe some of the newest members around learn a trick or two. As always, constructive criticism is welcomed, as are questions and suggestions.
