I think I should correct myself on my previous statement and suggest now that it was a low chance it was me. Sorry for any confusion.

The more I think about this, the more I think I'm wrong and that it wasn't me after all. I want to say it was me because of a couple stupid matches, but the last three weeks, I've played Geth almost every match (except at night when I get a buddy or two on when I drop down to Silver for extra credits). 95% of my Gold matches, I extract, especially Geth. The last night I played Cerberus because I used a Juggy (Juggy and Cerberus are easy on Gold), but when I play using my Krogard, I play Geth - because, it is easy.

Sorta out of nowhere, if you spec your barrier for the damage on rank 4 and take all your power bonuses, facing Cerberus will NEVER (well rarely) be a problem ever again. That barrier discharge will stagger dragoons and phantoms all day long.
Actually it even makes collectors easier than I thought. It will stagger a Praetorian for goodness sake!

@Zero132132, so you only lure possessed abominations over to the objectives and blow them up when I'm on it?

So you quit out of spite? Just because they sucked?
Out of a desire to not carry, because I'm tired of carrying. At this point... I'd rather be carried and just walk around willy nilly not giving a F... but bringing out the tryhard panties only on objective waves. That said... I won't bleed out and put the onus on my team to kill everything while I'm dead, and I don't think its unreasonable to expect that out of others.

Fair dues to you there, megabeast, you're not wrong. But the ones that do try and work with you throughout the match deserve a chance. If they do nothing, and make it blatantly clear that their doing nothing to benefit the team- so they can earn some easy money...then by all means- they deserve what they get.

The last leecher I encountered would run into the enemies to bleed out to avoid the 2 minute kick timer. So after a couple waves when we realized it was intentional the other 3 of us decided to follow him everywhere to make sure and revive him or use a rocket to keep him from getting sync killed. He soon quit.
Sorry. I had stuff to do! :innocent:

Nice! You had a decoy that actually worked for a little bit.

Now... I can clutch this without a problem. I have a Cyclonic III on, Rail Amp III, Disruptor Ammo IV... a normal Juggy loadout. There isn't a unit on this wave that can really even touch me... I can solo this in my sleep.
Megabeast, but why the heck are you even playing if that's the case?
Just like someone who gets a PhD. They are experts now, so they teach others.
Plus for hanging out with friends and having a good time.
But instead of teaching and demonstrating to others, they pick up thier ball and go home like a 6 year old, its a video game ffs.
Unless this is a troll thread...
I don't think anyone can say that I haven't paid my teaching dues... I've done more to help the community than most.
the guy is probably a crap player looking to bring ya down.

90% of the time, if I dont carry the game is over pretty quick. Also, the only thing that makes this game remotely difficult is lag, and getting the bad end of the stick on obj waves.

the old adage of not drawing aggro to the capper had to do w/ infils before the TC nerf, when they all could cap w/o decloaking. Before enemies like dragoons and bombers were introduced and before TC was nerfed, it was bad to be near a cloaked infil who's capping.FlashAK wrote...
Yeah, I got that. Like I said, I misread one part. You should ideally be close enough to protect them, but not too close as to get stray shots that could potentially knock them off. They're exposed and vulnerable, so you should be protecting them (with rockets when necessary). Generally, people staying away from the device are usually score whoring somewhere else.Zero132132 wrote...
He actually said he was on the other side of the map trying NOT to kill enemies. The kill-enemies bit came from when he was near the device. Of course, if you kill enemies near the device and your teammates are locking down the most distant spawn points, it generally won't do a **** of a lot of good, but most people don't think about such things. Most players seem to think that you either stand on top of the device getting or stay on the opposite side of the map.FlashAK wrote...
Oops, misread one part. Thought it said he was on the other side of the map killing enemies.Zero132132 wrote...
Nah, he's just under the impression that the best way to do devices is to abandon the guy getting the device and draw aggro away. I always thought this was an odd thing that some folks do. Aren't you supposed to just form a perimeter to keep them safe? They shouldn't be the target for enemies to shoot at in the area.
Smart/useful teammates will protect the guy doing the device.
For everyone else, and since then (well, for most infils since they likely aren't duration specced) its better to keep somewhere near them in case brutes, prime drones, goons, bombers, phantoms, praetorians etc start eyeing ur teammate on the cap.
