Apart from wasting consumables, which I can afford to do but rather not, I might as well clear wave 6 for the credits. If the team really do suck a**, I'll just bleed out after W6 is complete, if I'm the last man standing.

caineghis -- you probably can solo gold matches quicker than an entire squad of pugs!  Not me -- I'm slow as molasses.  If there's only a few enemies left, that's one thing but more than that -- no need to subject the audience to my performance.

I very rarely get games where all 3 players are not trying at all; usually at least one is trying or is decent enough to make the team worth fighting for.

in your opinion.

I'd rather spend 20 minutes of their spectator mode dinking around, spinning in circles and almost-bleeding-out-only-to-medi-gel than 20 more minutes of me solo-ing waves 9 & 10.

I play to have fun. The above former example is what i consider to be fun...not the latter.

The OP was dropped into a match in progress. So what's the problem?

I just hit the Xbox button and restart game. No dropins, no lost consumables. Win win. You're just a dork if you quit and even a bigger dork to think I wouldn't quit watching someone do a dick around solo in spectator mode. <_<

 Hi.

I'm a level 20 adept/level 19 Krogan Warlord. I played multiplayer briefly during beta and then didn't touch it again until this month. That is why I don't know everything: I haven't been playing. Hell, I nerd-rage quit after the ending and didn't think about playing it again until after PAX East 2013, during the retrospective, when I realized I wanted to try Citadel.

I am attempting to get items and weapons, but right now, the most upgraded thing I have is a level 3 avenger. I have a rare shotgun or two. It's worthless for me to use it on anything other than a mook because the shield/barrier regen outstrips my ability to do damage and, even then, it's more effective for me to just use abilities. On my Krogan, I am useful in the last few waves as long as I run from everything but mooks and whatever you call the next up guys. On my adept, not so much, because no gear = no chain biotic explosions. I throw warp and hope it hits. Stasis does nothing for everything but Cerberus at later waves and, for whatever reason, I can't blow up my own bubbles. 

I have a choice: I can attempt to get weapons, so I can play more effectively, or I can stock up on medigels so I can stay alive and do **** all for waves 4-10 for the rest of my playtime. I play my three silver games, buy my vet spectre, get nothing useful, log out, and wonder why I still try.  

It's all the same, really. Either I'm lying dead on the floor or I'm standing behind the geared out guy, doing nothing because none of my abilities are making a difference. I can warp from here until Tuesday but on later waves, nothing...again, because my CDs aren't short enough to make explosion. It's boring either way. But you tell me to get medigel so I can stand around more effectively. 

In my position, what would YOU rather do?

In my honest opinion, everyone who's on bsn consistently, I consider them to be the best of the best when compared to ALL OTHER mass effect players, you guys active on the forums have access to optimal builds, strategies, etc in the form of multiplayer threads discussions. So I feel if players end up in a game I with a bsner, then the bsner needs to put the backpack on and gets to schooling.

Also @megabeast is that what you teach your son? That if others don't care and makes certain aspects of life difficult, then it's ok to not care also?

You of all people need to not have that attitude as a spectre and a father you're looked up to.

In my position, what would YOU rather do?

He would rather be able to actually play than sit there watching someone else play.  It is one thing for you to only have your max consumable (IE 2 gel), it is another to go into a game on a difficulty you will die on and not be a help to the team (especially during objectives which some take longer to do with less people doing them).

Oh, and if I use my consumables and still die before I make 33K, I've thrown them out the window.
