Why would they change their minds? Unless we gave them reason too....

Or get hacked? Hows that going to work? Didn't Legion tell me they couldn't get hacked? Shouldn't Legion have been hacked too?

Legion did get hacked. Manually. In the back of the neck.

Thus enabling its shutdown command.

Funny, I remember telling Legion to upload the code. And telling the Quarians to stand down or get blown out of the sky. Their own stupidity could have cost them and the Geth from the war effort.

Your game must be defective then; you should ask for a refund, tbh.

I mean really, what kind of a wacky game ends a conflict by having one side go against what was supposed to be its unique philosophy by using a convenient plot device while the other side decides to stop fighting and make friends because some random asshole yelled at them for two minutes?

What kind of a wacky person tries to twist Shepard making a speech into a "random **** yelling?"

Well, Shepard was telling them that the Geth are getting armed up, and that he isn't going to stop them. He's pretty much made his choice, he's just telling the Quarians he's made his choice, and if they don't want to die, they better stand down.

A smart side?

I'm with Massive completely on this topic.  PLUS I loved punching that dumbarsed admiral in the gut.  SOB deserved it.  And more.

Know what the best planet to live on is?  The one you're already at.  It's convenient to your needs because you're already there.  Why should the Geth leave?  THEY didn't innitiate hostilities.  At any time.  It's always the Quarians who attack THEM.  They defend themselves, chase the attackers away, then go back to living in peace.  Well, except for that time the Reapers indoctrinated a bunch of them.  But then again, we killed just as many protheans in ME2 as Geth in ME1, but I don't see anyone saying, "Throw Jarvick out the airlock!"

It's easier to shoot the Legion VI, but at least Shepard could retain his old armour piece from legion.

You suggest they die for a retarded reason because some Quarian Admirals had a hard on for a war that was completely unnecessary and wasted resources for both sides.

I'd imagine it's because the geth have no pressing need to leave the Veil, and up until ME3 they would not be welcome anywhere outside of it. The Council apparently didn't want to provoke them because they were afraid. Or something.

Yeah the geth could've solved their own conflict forever ago when they found out, " Hey our creators still want this useless polluted ball of rubble we've been occupying maybe we should just let them have it so they'd leave us alone."

Once they had a homeworld they wouldn't have tried to fight the geth again if the geth went to dark space they have no need to go after them save spite but why waste the man power and supplies on a non existent threat? Unless the geth were bombing them every so often the Quarians would've gotten over it they had their homeworld and it isn't like them to have vengeance unless its contrived. They didn't go after the council because they kicked them out of council space, they didn't bomb that planet from orbit you know they one they wanted to settle on were very close to doing so until the council said, " If you settle there before species X does we'll kill you." The Quarians have many many people to go after for revenge purposes before the geth they only went after the geth to get their homeworld back.

Seriously the Ranchi found a place to hide from the world because they wanted their own freedom and lives without the hassle of people yet we're suppose to believe the geth were so guilty for nuking the world that they stayed to maintain it even though by them doing so it only continued the conflict we're suppose to believe with all the knowledge they had access to they were to dumb to figure give it back and find a new rock to live on?

The geth need nothing from Rannoch:

The air is useless for them they don't breathe it
The weather is of no benefit it doesn't help the work any better
The food isn't worth it for them
The minerals aren't useful for them

They seem to be holding it out of spite and their own pity party. Rannoch is actually consuming their resources and man power to upkeep and clean up when according to Legion who is in consensus with the other geth all they want is to build their own future and have their own population without the hindrance, harassment, and harm of organics so moving to dark space seems like a great way to solve it. The reapers did well, the queen did well upuntil she the reapers magically refound her no organics messed with her, the VI people did great on their own.

Consesns is a lack of leadership it basically means they all voted and so no one can really be blamed once the yeses have it. So when Legion says something it means the majority of geth feel this way it is now law.

Or do we believe Legion that in addition to them throwing a 300 year pity revival party that because they were too stupid to comprehend what genocide was that they stayed to meditate? They could've done their pity party and their contemplation on a space station in dark space.

Them moving also wouldn't cause a problem to the galaxy because of the fact everyone got the message and stayed away there were no eyes or ears surveillance wise on Rannoch to alert anyone of their forces so them moving is like Area 51 moving they can do it precisely because no one is watching and by the time you've found out they moved its because someone was so stupid they drove up to the buildings and found out no one was there to shoot them.

The geth could've then been reintroduced into the story via Legion who says we've been watching the reapers decimate you and we've been watching you guys and we like organics so we want to help you fight the reapers. The geth who have been fighting you for 2 games now are actually our kidnapped and brainwashed brothers and we'd like to get them back if possible.

The geth are shown to be incapable, self loathing, morrons, who also have victim mentality that is contrived.

We've been over this time and time again. "Move to dark space" doesn't help the Geth at all - they need matter and energy just like the rest of us.

Geth aren't magical creatures. They need hardware to run, energy to power that hardware, and a manufacturing base to provide for the maintenance of that hardware. In short, they need a homeworld, or it's equivalent.

Beyond that, it's a strategic objective - anything that can be used to hold the Quarians at bay is a major advantage, simply because the Quarians are genocidal, and always attack if they think they have any chance of victory.

They're cleaning Rannoch up out of guilt. They're holding it out of necessity, basically a hostage against Quarian aggression. Strategically, it was a sound tactic - the Quarians historically have a 100% attack rate when not face with certain defeat, and as we see in ME3, they haven't broken the habit.

Their actual failure was to properly protect it.

orly?  Let's see, they put up a border and said, "Don't cross".  You do that for PROTECTION.  If you want to just kill folks, you invade them.  Dunno when they sold the rest fo the galaxy down the river.  I mean, first off, what did they owe the galaxy?  Same thing the rest of the races did; nothing.  Second, SOME of them got indoctrinated.  Others did not.  So, according to you, because some humans got indoctrinated ALL humans should be destroyed?  After all, those husks had sold the galaxy down the river.

I'm sure he made pieces with them and it contributed to the effort in raw materials.

Lamps and toasters were definitely in good supply following the Battle of Rannoch.

I'll be sure to send you a Geth head lamp for the holidays then.

I'm just so happy that I found a use for the flashlight heads.
