There once was a time when enemies didn't immediately execute on Gold. Was the game more fun for you then or do you like the challenge of enemies immediately stomping as soon as you die now?

Another thought I had is we're pretty much the same damn place we were when we started the game. More medigel but you have to use it more often, more Cobras but they don't work as effectively, better ammo but enemy health is buffed to the point that it's a moot point.

Sometimes PUGs only gel because they don't want to get stomped.

That's the only reason I somewhat like it.

I swear, and I'll let some others jump in too with their opinions, that in the past week or two the executions have been coming a lot quicker. As in, you don't even have the chance to gel before you are stomped.

I'm mixed on the feature. I don't like it with friends since I know someone will come and rez me. The camera angle is bad when you go down sometimes, so you cannot even see the enemy coming to stomp you.

In PUGs, I love it since it makes them gel or just be out of the wave. Instead of yelling into the mic to come help them when they are across the map, covered in aggro.

My favourite is when Dragoons insta-stomp you even when your body didn't even hit the ground yet.

I liked the sound of the Dragoons stomp-stomp-stomping us in out last plat game together. That was kinda funny. :innocent:

In general I'm ok with the stomping if we get a better view of our surroundings while biting concrete. As of now, 50% of the time you don't even have a chance to see them coming, due to the stupid camera angle.

Well, they don't always stomp immediately, so I usually wait around for somebody to revive me, if there is a chance. It is funny sometimes when Dragoons come and go, with the intention of executing, but then change their minds.

I don't mind the executing so much, but I just wish that the camera angles were a bit zoomed out and I could get a better view of what's happening around. Also I wish that the enemies wouldn't immediately melee me, even before I'm fully up.

I must have some candy somewhere in my pockets when I get taken down, because I almost always get insta-stomped. If they did do something to make them more aggressive, I don't understand why.. It was perfectly fine the way it was before.

haha, yes, that was funny Image IPB

when I'm too tired to fool around and just want to play the damn game, executions are a bad idea.

I hate it when an Atlas is around because that means it's either get executed or gel and get sync killed immediately.

Honestly, I had not been playing Gold much or for very long when they put executions in, so I don't really know any different.

I'm okay with them, though, and with sync-kills, too. Or, rather, with the IDEA of them (a sudden death threat to always be aware of is cool, I think)... I just wish that sometimes it was a little better... well... executed, no pun intended. The bad camera angles when bleeding out are certainly an issue and a few of the GOTCHA! surprise moves of the sync-kill units are annoying in that you're certain you have plenty of distance and then suddenly the Banshee has leapt the entire length of the map to grab you through a wall.

The Geth are way worse, followed very closely by the Collectors; the other factions are not very far behind. There are some situations (when there are multiple melee units or a single sync kill unit nearby) where it is impossible to gel and get away because of how they behave; it is better to just save your medigels for the next game....

I don't mind the feature. What I DO mind is the "feature" when you've died and enemies camp your (or your teammates) body. I find that much more aggravating.

Yes I like the feature. The very rare time you get killed and instant stomped by a collector capt or goon but most times you can still wait and then gel at the last moment before the foot comes down. There are consequences for going down and this is one of them.

I agree with this one for sure.  Especially phantoms, you are as good as perma dead unless someone comes and removes the problem for you.

Funny that nobody addressed this.  Completely agree with this point.

Enemy stomp mechanics seem to be a way to force you to use medi-gel.  They work pretty effectively.  Even with teammates right next to me, I have to use a gel as soon as I go down or risk being stomped unless I'm being Geth Primed to death from across the map.  Great feature, 10/10.

I think it's fine, but I really really hate when the camera is at some retarded angle and I get stomped because I couldn't see nearby enemies.

It'd be nice also if the units capable of executing you weren't often also the units capable of stunning you with melee as you get up, then killing you again (Marauder, Dragoon).

I hate the camera angle issue, and I hate when they do it right away.

But I do love throwing or chopping the offender a split second before it's too late, and rescuing my teammate.
