I'd rather look like complete crap but come out with all my fingers and toes, than look flashy and cool and missing out on a few vital organs.

Try and imagine her in her introduction as it is with that Arabian princess music and the deliberate strut she does, but in heavy armour and holding a Revenant. I'm not a huge fan of her current armour, but it's better than that N7 getup.

IMO.

I finally got around to reading the OP, and I have to say, no that wouldn't really work. I am ////not//// a very good source however to refer to regarding sexualization of characters (tbh there's nothing wrong with making male and female characters sexy, just as long as long as it fits within the story and makes a little bit of sense unlike the DI: Riptide dismembered bikini torso).

You would think a Justicar's appearance would be a mix between combat armor and mystic

If anything, this threads proves that there really isn't much of a consensus, only that BioWare could dial back on the Rule of Cool and incorporate more conservativeness and functionality.

Can I ask how Ashley was over sexualized in ME3? I only noticed her hair length being different. Or I'm just not good at noticing things.

Well they could find a medium between the two like we stated towards the beginning of the thread, by having causal and armored appearance be atleast reasonable and cool

We only got to this point because David kept disagreeing with everything

Well, practicality and conservativeness sorta go hand-in-hand here, methinks.

The skirt is just plain silly, long hair covers half her face when you try to talk to her, a lot of make-up, only one armor appearance (personal gripe)

Functionality, at least in terms of combat apparel.
