Well, that is not what I use as the argument is it?

You claimed that clothing is important because it helps establish a characer, a fair point. Then I said that then wouldn't it be the most ideal situation if characters had unique clothing while onboard the ship (to help establish their personality), while in battle they would wear some sort of armor that were unique to them so they still retain their seperate looks. Granted I do not know if such a suggestion would be realistic, perhaps it have taken too many resources or too much time.

I don't think it would've taken too much time, because they was able to do it multiple times in ME3

No.

I want an idealized and stylized art direction because this is a game and I want to escape for a bit.

The helmets connect to heavy hardsuits. You can't have an N7 seal to Kasumi's clothing. You have to find another option.

Yeah, and we're not arguing to have all this patched into ME3 at this point. Combat helmets don't have to connect to hard suits, they have to offer protection. And if the operating environment is in a vacuum, then ditch the usual attire altogether and put an airtight suit. Simple as that.

Kasumi could wear this with her outfit

It might surprise you to learn that creating distinctive airtight outfits is a lot of work?

That depends entirely on how distinctive you're assuming would be appropriate, because Jacob has decent enough armor in the reveal trailer, and it's not hard to color old armor sets and stick them on him and Miranda.

True, the N7 Fury outfit can work, though I was specifically addressing David7204's point about not having an airtight seal. If the Shadow outfit provides that, great. If not, have an airtight spacesuit with the same aesthetic style.

As a side note, the Fury somewhat reminds me of the sniper outfit from Black Ops 2.

EDIT: I meant N7 Fury, obviously. :pinched:

Hmmm, nah not really. I would like better masks in space, but even a Zaeed style mask would suit me.

I'm still wondering what the f*ck a cat thief is doing on a military suicide mission in the first place.

No really, what the actual f*ck did we need a thief for in ME2?

We recruit Kasumi, the best thief there is, only to put her into military situations and never actually use her for her expertise. Yeahhh... okay.... whatever....

Same thing can be said about Thane by the way (an assassin who never assassinates anyone for us).

Thane in particular is the poster child for the shortsighted "if it sounds cool add it" mentality that went into ME2.

The only purpose he served is as a bad choice in one suicide mission bit. He was completely worthless aside from that.

To be fair they never knew what was beyond the Omega 4 relay. Kasumi can break in anywhere, and Thane is a "master at killing".

Thane was a good character, but him as an Assassin for a Suicide Mission was kinda pointless

It would've worked better if he was something else

It's precisely the fact that they don't know what's the other side that makes recruiting these people(besides Mordin) senseless.

Worst, recruiting Thane and Kasumi actually makes the suicide mission harder.

The trickiest part of the suicide mission is the averaging for the "hold the line" portion. Each teammember has a value (+1 with loyalty) and you need an average of 2 for those left at the line to insure that everyone survives.

Kasumi has a value of 0. By actually recruiting her via the DLC, you actually make the endgame HARDER for yourself (1st time I know of a DLC that actually makes the maingame harder to complete to optimal completion). Even if you do her loyalty mission, she still makes the endgame harder since her value of 1 doesnt meet the average requirement of 2.

But at least one could argue that Kasumi could be used for the vents so she does have a purpose...as someone pointed out, Kasumi is Tali's backup since picking up Legion was happenstance.

Thane though?

He literally provides nothing to the actual mission other than being the only teammate with Shredder ammo...which is pretty useless on higher difficulties. His HTL score is only 1 (meaning you have to do his loyalty mission)

Concerning Thane and Kasumi it makes me wonder if originally Bioware had planned on a part of the suicide mission that would require someone who was good at stealth.

yes and only matters if you are going for a speed run with no casulties. so which means nothing to me. I do all loyaly missions for one becuase i can for two the EXP and creds and for 3 story reasons, (thats how it is now the order was reverse when i first played it)

So math/game mechanics aside whats teh issue here? the fact that yes its been complained about to the point where no one remembers the light armor class from ME1, considering it looked like faberic at least I thought it did., and medium armor looked like fabric with plates here and there. (exepect for colloious)

Also considering the armor is "Future made armor" they can get away with thinner matrials. Hell we have therotical matrial that be made into like a normal cotten shirt that can thoriticly stop a bullet. Its a matrial that hardens with a high impact.

who says they wheren't able to make it in the "Future"

this isn't a miltary sim this is a GAME. and an Action game at that. I mean in reality as soon as Sheap got shot in the face shouldn't be dead? I mean damn he can take missle hits and Collector beam attacks, why aren't you boo hooing over him surviving all of that?
