It really should be obvious that this is not dodging. So what you're telling me is that Liara having those pretty blue eyes is a problem? Liara having perfect skin is a problem? Liara having that slender waist is a problem? That correct? You just said so. Not as much of a problem, but still a problem. Right?

I'm getting tired of hashing this out with you. It's nowhere near on the same level - nowhere near as blatant - and you know it.

A problem is a problem. Let's focus on the small issues a bit before we move onto the bigger ones. Is Liara having those pretty eyes and that perfect skin and that slender waist a problem or not?

At this point we should just not bother with David and keep to the topic

Your use of a strawman is a problem.

Agreed. I don't even know why people even bother engaging with him. Or Seival. Or Auld Wulf.

All of this miserable whining to avoid answering a simple question. It is so incredibly tedious, do you know that? Look at you. Can you even function without kissing up to each other like little cheerleaders?

If it's so tedious, why do you still bother coming here and posting?

And what is your point to your argument David? You keep changing it. You're off saying Liara is too pretty and that people have an issue with it now it seems.

Maybe you should check the last page. I didn't say that. DeinonSlayer did. All I'm doing is trying to confirm it.

You never did respond to my answer to why I thought Miranda's outfit was inappropriate to her character.  Looking for an easier target?

Big, blatant problems first.

I said this on the last page: character design incorporating traits seen as attractive is one thing - it's to be expected to some degree, and it's done with both males and females. There's nothing wrong with that. Suspension of disbelief is not violated so long as it isn't overdone.

Inflating the "attractive" traits to the level of a comic-book caricature and squeezing it into a costume looking like it belongs in a strip club, complete with camera angles emphasizing those traits, is something else entirely. Expecting us to take such a costume seriously in a battlefield environment is nothing short of ridiculous.

To get back to the original purpose of the topic, yes. I'd prefer combat-appropriate armor et al in combat situations, and, preferably, more professional appearances outside combat. That may just be me; I never got into comic books as a kid. I prefer characters I can take seriously over walking caricatures.

Image IPB

Which of the above most closely resembles Miranda?

Seems like you were trying to use a different argument. You were going from what Slayer and iakus were saying to using an argument designed to try and make them look like a chauvinist.

Oh, okay, so now it's not a problem anymore. Alright.

I'd like you to explain to me why BioWare put those things in. Why BioWare put in those pretty eyes and perfect skin and slender waist. I want you to explain to me what purpose those things serve.

I'm not going to state the obvious on your behalf. I'm done being baited. If you have an argument to make, make it.

This basically boils down to some of us would rather one art style over another.

At the end of the day, no one is more correct in this situation, it's just preference really.

This seems like a very simple situation to me. BioWare put sexually attractive features on these characters. What was the point? The characters don't need it. The story doesn't need it. The purpose was clearly to sexualize them. What other purpose would there be? Only 13 year old boys enjoy sexualization. Liara's eyes and skin and waist are obviously a very big problem.

So you're saying you're a 13 year old boy who does shameful things to Liara's picture at night?

Let's just stop. If all this is just a matter of personal preference, then this is just a battle of opinions and we would debating this endlessly. May be best to lock this thread.

This thread doesn't deserve to be locked because someone feels the need to combat every person's opinion

Most of the posts in here have been civil and postive debates

I really hope your being sarcastic  becase  if your not  .. I shake my head at you............that kind of  opinion is why i had to state  mine in

 This thread.

DeinonSlayer completely disagree  with what i did read of your posts y again .. my opinions are in the posted thread..

Any time  any one  puts sexy women in sexy outfits anywhere in any form of media  there is a % of the population that gets offened by it.

im sure there  are people who are offened by SI Swimsuit edition  or victoria secret  .....i could go on

Personaly if i am playing a game i dont want the women  to wear armor like samus. Thats  just my personal preferance I thought Ashley`s M1 armor was even to much. Whatever you want to think of my for my opinion be that  I  am imature or if  david was actually being serious whatever other negitive  thing you want to think..

but if you think i dont have repect for women  becase i support this  you could not be more wrong.

If you wanto think less of  Miranda `forthe way she dresses or any other woman  real or fictional for  it  and take them `less seriosly` IMO thats  is the  persons  not the female in question

On a side note I came backexpecting a ghost town im suprised this board isnt  but i guess BSN will always be BSN. Bsn is famouse for turning horses  into liquid . I left these board because the same subjects keep getting repeated over and over and over again .. and people take stuff like this in games so seriously.  When it comes I have already  said everything i have to say.

For some unknown  reason I let myself get caught up in liquifying horses again.

Okay, I'll just put it this way. Whether you like the design of Miranda's appearance or not is up to you, but her appearance is blatant objectification and sex appeal. Like it or not, it's your choice, but don't deny something for what it is.

ok ..... not sure really what your point by that statement is or why you felt you had to point out that particular statement..... but you're entitled to your opinion I can't really say any more than that ........but I will say I hope Bioware keeps the same camera guy out does himself even better next time in the new DA and ME .
