I finished the rites of purification (as far as you are able) and Zhjaeve says we should check in with Aldanon to see if he has the location of Jerro's Haven. However the only dialogue options I have with him are lore questions about the Githyanki, the shard, and Luskan...nothing to do with Jerro.
I did a net search and found screenshots for the dialogue I'm supposed to get, so I know what I am missing, but I don't know how to go about triggering it. Any suggestions? is there a debug script I can/need to run?
Thanks.
Bug in Act 2, Aldanon the Sage has no option to reveal location of the Haven

from what I see either the Illefarn Ruins haven't actually been completed or there's a bug. Assuming it's a bug, chummy up to Aldanon and run try running this:
`
DebugMode 1
rs ga_start_convo("21_aldanon", "21_aldanon_finds_2600", 0, 0, 1, 0)
DebugMode 0
`
if it's not a bug.. consult _Raps

I'll try that when I get the chance, but I assume the Ilefarn ruins were complete. I defeated all the enemies, got the cutscene with Zhjaeve and then used the portal to get back to the area with all the purification statues. Thanks in advance...I have the utmost confidence in your advice.

lol (more than i do)
btw, you can check a savegame made back at the Keep (after Illefarn), in file 'globals.xml' search for variable "00_bCompletedIllefarnRuins"
if it's not there or does not have value "1" ....

One thing I've seen there from time to time - and it's a real loose screw - is that Shandra kind of phases in and out of your party. Literally. After the Reaver battle, she's sometimes apparently marked too early by the program for leaving the party and functioning independently. When you go to the Keep, she will be one of those "party member X from parts unknown" in your column of character profiles (like an unspawned creature or familiar). If she's not there, that conversation with Aldanon can't happen.
The thing is, her odd status flips on and off. That is, she'll be unspawned in one area, then normal in the next, then unspawned, etc. By using the rugrat express, you can make sure she shows up in the Keep proper.
At least, this has happened to me a few times. But I always wrote it off to some interaction with a mod/mods. I have never seen anyone else mention it... but maybe this time.

The first script worked. However Kana is now missing. She was going to let the men know (or something like that) and then walked away. I've upgraded the keep, made some weapons, traveled back and forth and went into the keep a few times, but she's still gone. Is this normal for close to the end of act 2?

maybe. I sorta remember her go missing (inconveniently)
If she's def. missing i'll look into it, but it's sounding more and more like a faulty install,
are you using the GoG edition? because I'm thinking permissions -> global_vars.

I'm not using the Gog edition, though researching that off your question looks makes me think it's a good deal. Sure beats install off of disks.
I haven't gotten back to the game as I haven't had time. I'll update after I get done with Haven and back to Crossroad Keep.

Started Act 3, and Kana is back. Looks like things are running smoothly now (hope I didn't just jinx myself).

do the voodoo
btw, i came across a post in NwN1 forum about GoG install: it suggests *not* installing to ProgramFiles dir. ( because winderz protects it more aggressively ). Rather, install to the root or a custom Games directory
