well, i used to ask more, but all the ladies, got so weak in thier knees,(my voice is too sexy for PSN) that they would sometimes drop the controller get sync killed AND in extreme cases the controller broke a toe....... So for safety's sake i ask less.......

ok back to reality....sort of.... I have a mike, but it's in the shop right now, Mike has a good warranty, I even got a rental Mike, while my Mike was getting fixed. I would suggest Mike to anyone looking for a good Mike......Do you have a girlfriend?

PC. I try to speak to pugs while in the lobby and if someone replies back its an insta fr. We don't have messaging like consoles do and if someone's not on your list(which already has a limit thanks to lolrigin) mic is the only way to communicate.

I personally never have my mic on in pug games unless I'm with friends looking for randoms. I tend to attract the ingrates unfortunately. The only time I had to get on my mic to give advice is when randoms aren't helping with the escort or hack circle. That was a less than plesant experience. I just stay off the mic and also, I don't think anyone wants to hear Impeach God blasting over the mic.

I dont use a mic for the same reason i dont play this game on pc. I'm flat broke and can't afford one (mic or a pc that can handle me3...or most newer games... curse being poor and jobless)

I give people advice on guns to use when they don't have much, and one guy was trying to tell me the mattock was weaker than the avenger... He said he couldn't kill "husks"(actually abominations) fast enough because it was so weak.

Most PC players don't use mics. And using a mic has absolutely no correlation with skill level, I've noticed. Like, correlation coefficient of ~0.

I have a mic but ME3 is weird about recognizing my voice even when it's set to push-to-talk. I basically have to set it to 130% and that ruins all sounds... so I am not using it.
Oh, and if I had to use it in PUGs I'd probably spend more time yelling at people than actually playing...

So OP, why do you use a mic?

I have when but rarely use it.  I've been playing ME3 for over a year now and can count the number of conversations I've heard using the fingers of one hand.  Only about 3 of those were anything to do with ME3 and only one of those was about the actualy game being played at the time.

The only time I can think that it would be useful is if a less experienced player is carrying and you need to tell him about the cloaked phantom he hasn't been looking for.  You have to assume they have a mic and they're willing to listen to you as well (and understand english).

Also, based on acicm2's profile picture I'd be a bit scared talking to someone like that!

And I have a stupid voice that sounds like I've got something stuck up my nose when I speak.  Best for everyone if I don't speak.
