No. Both are completely different games & they don't feel very connected to each other.
The graphics is different, follower interactions are different, gameplay and combat is different, conversations are different, the intelligence level of the PC and NPCs are totally different.
So I treat them as separate games. If I want a save file for DA3 I will just make it on my own without doing full playthroughs.
Will You Replay DA:O/DA2 Before DA:Inquisition?

No - I've been through the Deep Roads enough times in my life at this point, and I don't ever want to go back there again in DA:O.

I only recently bought the DA2 dlcs and am currently on my 17th or 18th playthrough of DA:O making Thedas a weirder place one day at a time.

Hah. You think you've seen it all in 8 playthroughs? Try 34. Get on TEWR's level.
LOL I'd challenge someone to show me something in DA:O I haven't seen that doesn't tie into DLC. I was surgical with my 8 playthroughs - designed for maximum efficiency in dealing with every choice in the least amount of times.

I am abandoning the Xbox platform in favor of the PC. So yes, I am replaying DAO on pc right now, in anticipation for a DA3 reveal at E3. I am unsure if I will go all the way through Awakening and DLC though, my understanding is that most of the import flag bugs are in Awakening, so it might be worth it to wait until we find out was Bioware is planning for imports.
Anyway, it is nice to replay DAO on PC, it really still looks great visually, much better than ye olde 360 version.

@OP:
I have been replaying DAO for the past few weeks with three characters, but I don't know if I can bring myself to replay DA2 for three characters. I've been playing DA2 on Casual and with a damage reduction mod, and combat is still so much of a time-consuming chore that I'd like a mod that kills all enemies in a wave instantly.
In contrast, I've been playing one of my DAO games on Hard and had a lot of fun.

@Jimmy: Combinatorial analysis applied to Thedas? Now I'm imagining your Wardens holding a spreadsheet (possibly on a lyrium tablet or some Eluvian laptop) and checklisting each and every decision. "Sorry, Zathrian, can't side with you this time. Wiping off Dalish is still on my to-do's".
--
I'll replay both games before DA3, because continuity (as good an excuse as any, right?).
I'll probably replay DAO before that even. I still have things on my to-do's. It's just a matter of resisting doing what I want to roleplay and actually go where no Warden has gone before - at least not mine.

DA:O and DA:A - Definitely. Love those
DA II: Nah, I'm done with that crap. Have my canon saves, that's more than enough, in case I can't import DA:O saves to DA:I

All-in-all? Not a total misnomer of my experience.

I'm probably gonna wait till a month before DA:I release or so, buy all the DLCs I don't have yet (Legacy and Sebastian, I think, plus, I somehow never recruited Shale in any of my DA:O playthroughs...gotta fix that) and then prepare my ideal playthrough to import into DA:I. If DA:I gets released for XBox 360, that is. If not, I might skip replaying.

I finished DA2 two weeks ago and I really enjoyed it (again). I'm currently replaying Origins and hoping I'll be able to finish the Leliana romance without cheating on her, because it's so tempting. It's also my second mage play through.

I did start a new playthrough of DAO on pc instead of console....Played DAO a LOT (as in playthroughs) with most of the additions for it, but at the moment kind of overkilled it for myself back then to go through the whole game another time.
As I know that lots of things (especially from DA2 which was a kind of 'turn around' for the story to get away from the whole warden/darkspawn theme) will not come back in the next game I really don't think so at the moment..

Of course. Great thing about bioware games is that the stories never get old to me; they're always a joy to play through, and I look forward to going through Origins and DA2 again, like I did with ME and ME2

I'm making two new, perfect playthroughs. The plan is to make one for either side, mage and templar, and complete everything in DA:O/ DA][. I've just started my mage playthrough.

I've honestly never finished DA2 - kept getting sidetracked by other games, so I at least want to finish DA2 before DA3 comes out.

I started a new playthrough of a few days ago and am just about to finish up with Awakening right now. I started playing again because I read the books/comics which got me in the mood to play though not because of DA:I. Though I can't wait for E3 to see what comes out about it. I'm sure I'll replay both DA:O and DA II a few more times before it comes out to get my perfect game saves set aside. I've got so many saves I forgot what decisions I made when.
