Comparing Martin and King and their novels to the DA franchise is inappropriate . It's not the same. Shrugs. Gaider made a mistake on this imo, however it is his franchise to write even if it hurts potential DAI videogame development . shrugs.

Yeah but in fairness Wynne was gonna die shortly anyway, borrowed time and all that jazz. At least it wasn't in a codex entry!

Martin goes a bit far with the deaths imo. But that's a smidge off topic.

no, just a stern finger waggling by the BBB (which isn't a government entity.). in the end, they basically say "it's not lying, just bad advertisement."

OT: I don't care really if bioware wants their book canon in DAI. if they do: *shrugs* and if they don't: *shrugs* the Hero of Ferelden still does his / her mark in DA history and Hawke does his / her mark in DA history.

not a specified canon, true, but there is one.
the warden and their companions defeating the blight is canon
anders blowing up the chantry, and meredith and orsino losing it and dying is canon
and I guess, sandal and bodhan showing up kinda counts lol
