Do you prefer the tight-knit community that we have, or would you prefer a much larger one, like COD?

I've never played any COD games and don't intend to start, so I can't compare. But I like the smallish community and don't mind seeing the same players from time to time on my ps3 travels. And when I used to do more PUG games I often saw names I recognized from the bsn.

I much prefer a small and decent community to a huge gaggle of raucous plebians.

I like it and hate it. Since I sold my PS3 forever ago, I play ME3 at my friends house on the weekends. Sooooo, in between that time, people are probably like "WOW PSYLIS IS SUCH A SCRUB". Like last week, someone told me my friends kid was on my account missile glitching. Not a good look for me. Then there are other times when my friends (have to take turns on those magical weekends) will randomly meet up with you guys during a PUG and score like 50k...and I'm just sighing so hard.

It's a bitter sweet story. I mean, I get to still play the game, but damn, I really don't like the fact knowing that some people may think I'm a total scrub because I'm not even the person behind the sticks. Whenever I run into you guys, I play hard as hell because of that.

LMAO. I've let my son play in bronze a few times, it's hilarious.

it's only a tight-knit community if you only play with people off of your friends list

Most of my pugs are filled with european folks. It isn't until the last couple hours of my playtime that I run with BSNers, due to the odd hours I play.

Edit: To actually answer the question....a larger community wouldn't have much of an effect on me due to the times that I play. I still wouldn't know/understand any of the folks I pug with.

And just why are you pugging Rake? I need you to carry me through some more duos.

OT: I think the community is fine as it is but hopefully with ME4 we'll get the best of both worlds - a large, respectful and relatively mature playerbase.

I wish my lobbies would fill faster. So a bigger community would help that. It also means I'd have a wider audience to show off in front of!

There's a lot of back-slapping going on with BSN, but a lot of the people DOING that back-slapping have no problem belittling or mocking people they don't even know. Is that what you mean by tight-knit?

To answer your question, you have to be selective about which parts of the "community" (haha) that you actually engage. So my answer would be "none of the above".

I am indifferent. I just want our community big enough to continue to drive content being made.

One thing that surprises me about our community, is that its anti-pug elitism is no different then sentiment I see on COD forums.

It's kinda nice to be on a forum where topics move slow enough that most get some views and replies before getting pushed back into Page 4 hell, but fast enough that I'm not usually left without anything to reply to for very long.

Community? Here? At best I can see some trace amounts of that.

This isn't a community we have. This is a giant version of a battle royale cage fight.

Can you carry me through somes sometimes? We could do themed runs or funky setups so that we don't get bored fast.

Sounds good br4in, you ain't heavy anyway ;).
I won't be on till the weekend but I enjoy themed runs so just let me know the plan, though I'm not really into the masochistic setups like Volus Sentinels with Shurikens.

I don't even know who I am any more :crying:

Edit: to stay on-topic, I kinda like bumping into names I know fairly regularly, but I can't deny that a larger playerbase  means more microtransactions, hence more support, probably. Or something.

If "tight-knit" means we bicker with each other like an old married couple, then I suppose we might be considered tight-knit. However, I do miss the early days when the community was larger. I've found no other on-line multiplayers that enjoyable (COD, Halo, Gears of War & Borderlands).
