I'm usually out of rockets midway through the match if fighting geth.  But I would use them if I had them.

I typically use 1-2 missiles on Wave 11 to save someone's ass (often my own) or to clear a path to the LZ.

i don't mind either way coz it's working as intended

occasionally i rocket after wave 10 objectives are done especially geth primes or double banshees.

In honesty, wave 10/11 gold Cerberus frightens me greatly. Atlases, Dragoons and Phantoms blocking your view of the engineers setting up sentries. The atlas blows up and suddenly you're looking at 3 turrets withering your health and shields away before you can blink.

I know I can survive just kiting them around, and I also know firing those missiles won't help me achieve anything, but I really have to resist the urge to pull out my launcher in fear and turn all of them into kibble.

I agree with the op. I don't mind if people grabs some extra points but it's a dangerous game on extraction if people are spread out a bit and a new spawn puts a team mate in a pickle. I also 100% agree about people being greedy with rockets and happily wiping or near wiping when they should use one but then use them for spawns.

If I have any missiles left by that I will use them all, I don't horde stuff and even if there is no enemies around I will shoot them in the air gotta love those fireworks.

Because they want to be 2nd, not 3rd or 4th. I see it most often with 3 pugs around 60k each. Then there's the guy who wants to be first but there's a 30k gap. Their struggles provides entertainment for me.

i have never seen this. Is it happening on gold, or only on platinum (which I dont play)?

I have only used missiles on wave 11 to clear the way to the LZ because usually pugs went straight to the LZ

Why do people do this. They'd rather die and wipe-out on Wave 6 or 10, but once in Wave 11, out comes the missles and they start nuking spawns. I'd rather not shoot anything and wait on the other side of the map till there's 30 seconds to go (60 for Juggs). Sure I'll clear a path or the LZ if required, but I'd rather save my stuff for the next encounter.

i don't care so much that they are nuking the spawns, but rather why couldn't they use the missle at a more timely moment.

People are free to do as they please on extraction. I know, I'll be sitting on the opposite side of the map in cover and watching as things slowly surrounds me which I will then missile and run for extraction.

But it's pretty dependent on the match. If the match was irritating, I'll missile everything. If it was fine, I won't. :happy:

It happens in gold games all the time (I've seen some BSNers do it), and it's always an e-peen thing. Every time I see someone do it, I check the scoreboard, and they are never ahead. 

I'm not even bothered that they're trying to pad scores, but it makes extraction that much more difficult. The enemies are usually far away, and can be picked off easily making their advance, wasting some time in the process, and some genius goes and nukes them forcing spawns behind what used to be a defensible position.

This is really irritating, especially if I've wasted a lot of medigel and am the only one who used rockets to prevent team wipes or save/speed up objecives on earlier waves. Typical ****ty selfish gold PUGs. If I get on the mic and remind people to use their rockets, someone usually does. They may just be panicking scrubs who forget about missiles, but ....

I have had a MQI outscore my GE by 3k in a geth/gold game, after he spent the match spamming Arc grenades from cloak and using a BW. He also nuked a few primes on extraction, even though they posed no real threat. I was puzzled by his behaviour until I saw the final score. I have also had a hurricane GI pug nuke a spawn on extraction to get even with my Claymore human soldier. I have to admit, it felt good when I still outscored him in the end.

Most of the time it's just general stupidity though. Like holding the LZ on Ghost during extraction.

Though, if I play Geth or Collectors on Rio and make my run for the LZ at the end I will take out my launcher and gleefully nuke anything that crosses my path just because I can.

If bad allies, shoot missles at them at 5 seconds before extraction.

It makes a lot of sense if you are leveling or going for challenge points. If your point is people should be using rockets in earlier waves, then I might somewhat agree. However, I've noticed if I use rockets in the earlier waves, so do the PUGs. If your buying packs at the end of games in an elusive search for AR amp III's like I am, then why end the game with rockets just to get more worthless level 1 equipment?
