Went into my local Game today to pre-order the Collectors edition, only to be told they aren't taking any more orders, it's sold out on pre-order!! They were the only shop in the UK sotcking it on 360 as far as I'm aware.  Does anyone happen to know if/where I can get it? Yes I should have pre-ordered in November, but I have never had any problem getting a limited edition version of any game I wanted; ME1, DA: Origins, Bioshock, Halo 3...  I have a plan, which is basically bribing the shop manager with free cinema tickets for life but, still, do I have to stoop that low!! Bioware, there is a massive demand for this, obviously, so make more damn it!!! please. Yes I can get the PC collectors edition, but (yet to check the specs) have a 8600 card, which ran ME1 well enough but won't do justice to 2, also (anal I know) have have the 360 collectors edition, and standard PC, it just won't look right on my shelf!!!

BTW What the hell was that with Return to Ostagar!

Sorry, more of a rant. Basically does anyone know if or where I can get hold of a PAL Special Edition ME:2?

Just figured that out did you? The 360 sold out ages ago....because the game is that hot and managed to sell out on the platform with the most shelf space first.....then the PC eventually sold out ages later but judging by the complete lack of shelf space I'd wager they had a whole 3 copies of the CE for PC.
Still expecting a BioWare game to not be sold out 9 days prior to release is extremely foolish.

Doesn't mean you won't be able to snag a copy on launch day, but you'd have the find somewhere that brings in a lot.

Places that bring a lot are gaming stores and when they fully sell out prior to release means that you have little to no chance to see them get extras and even if they do you had better be the first in line when they open on the 26th because they won't have any extras an hour later.

Best chance is if someone doesn't pick theirs up in 48 hours so showing up the moment they open on the 28th might land you a copy.

Bribary it is. Darth, 12 days to release, we're getting it on the 29th, foolish, maybe. Although no Bioware CE has sold out in pre-orders (not where I live anyhow), a couple of days after release sure, but never before. Bribery it is.

You may get lucky on the 29th as sometimes people will pre order at game just to help bump up the stock numbers(i often do this) even though they may not intend to actualy buy a copy from game due to them being abit of a ripoff. You could also try gamestation or gameplay.co.uk as they're also stocking the collectors edition, they're both connected to game so qualify.

GAME sold out four or five days ago and Gamestop in the US sold out about a week before that. The CE is selling out at vendors across the world. Glad I pre-ordered mine around Christmas!

They share the same stock as well. All 3 sold out at the same time.
Bioware said right at the start get in early because stocks were going to be limited.

I preordered at Game back in november when i bought Dragon Age Origins. I then asked the other day for them to confirm the pre-order, cos they didn't take my name or anything, they just took my loyalty and then gave me a receipt with two products on it (so i assume they pre-ordered the CE and SE.) When i asked for them to confirm they said they couldn't be bothered to check through the pre-orders, and that i probably had it pre-ordered.

I am just worried now that because they didn't get my name or details and just used my loyalty card that the game isn't pre-ordered and i just have a stupid double points bonus if i happen to buy it.

Yeah Game are like that, every time I pre-order they swipe my card then I go to pick up and they just grab one off the shelf without checking my card or pre-order, doubt that'll work this time though. Your card does have all you're details so hopefully you should be fine tblakey89. Tried Gamestation and Gamestop, EA store here I come....

Check the website often :D You may get lucky with cancellations, in which case, you may find yourself being able to pre-order online at some point before the 29th.

Also, what's with people and actually visiting GAME stores?

The website tends to be far more effective. Most orders done online arrive a day in advance at worst, AND they accept pretty much every card you can think of.

P.s. The PC CE is actually still available :D both DD and Hard.

If all else fails you can try your hand with the price gougers on eBay... that's if you're desperate.

The UK and Australia both use PAL 360s, so a game from Australia will work in the UK, you'll still pay a lot more than you would if you purchased from a UK store because of Australia's usual price gouging, but nowhere near as much as some people are asking on eBay.

CE here is exclusive to EB, and as far as I can tell on their website, they still have copies. You'll need to check if they'll ship to you, but it's worth considering.

I pre-ordered the CE back in November from the GAME website just to be safe. Glad I did seeing as it's no longer even listed on there anymore.

I have pre-ordered the PC version but will need to upgrade from my 8600GT to do it justice (isn't that card the minimum spec?) Considered the Austrailian version but don't they have heavy censorship in games? Read an article in Edge about how a minister (sorry his name escapes me) refuses to allow "morally unjust" games to be released, I am speculating but surely having sex with Alien species will fall into this? EB games do have it in stock, but can't get past shipping page, seems won't ship to UK.

Turns out I got hold of one after all, not the best way of getting hold of one (nor exactly above board), but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.. Yes someone else misses out, yes I'm a bad person. And yes I should have pre-ordered when I picked up DA:O, but I honestly didn't think it would be so limited. Think I'll pre-order DA: Awakening tomorrow, just to be safe.

I'm a manager of a cinema, said manager of Game comes in frequently. One copy of ME2 CE and a discount on every game I buy from now on and free movies for the dude from Game, a simple win win deal.

...and put on his Robe and Wizard Hat :wizard:

Congratulations though man, however shady the deal may appear to be ;p At least I know it's not my copy ;)
