Again...I'm not sure why "clone = cheesy" to so many.

There's nothing inherently wrong about using a clone as it is a staple of sci-fi. I mean, otherwise, why have either the asari ("hot alien green skinned babe") or the salarians (the classic "grey aliens").

Not so much cheesy as cliche, as you've just pointed out the use of a clone is fairly common in sci-fi. The fact that it was played as a cliche and not straight made it cheesy.

The clone doesn't even break lore, since every explination he gave does match up with things mentioned in mass effect before.

If I had to make one complaint about the Citadel DLC, it'd be that I wish there was more of the archives that I could explore later. I had to dawdle and listen to each archive entry I passed by hunting the clone.

Pretty sure Citadel was meant to contain all those good and "bad" moments people talk about. I loved it. It is a fun side-adventure that is purposefully over the top. I think everyone knows the clone is a ridiculous enemy, even the characters themselves. Anyway, onto ME4.

Can't do ME4. The blood pack, blue suns and eclipse mercs all died helping to take earth, and from here on out it's just minor skirmishes in the Traverse while leftover bandits scratch for a living trying to take down supply ships, only to be decimated by Turian and Quarian patrols.

I wish that we had some involvement from some members of the ME2 team. That's all I can say.

Citadel schmitadel, let's talk Bond. I only watched Quantum of Solace pretty recently, and I have to say I was very surprised by its actually being, well, good. As opposed to the vast majority of Bond movies, including Casino Royale. Haven't seen Skyfall, though.

The water plot in QoS made sense, something that the Bond franchise is not particularly known for.

The Leviathans could potentially be juicy material

Now that I have your attention...

There's much to enjoy in Citadel from a gameplay POV, but it's atrocious in terms of story for much the same reason the ending is poor: it doesn't fit with the story that came before. Mass Effect has always had comic moments, but the comedy never stops in Citadel. The war's been essentially put on hold so we can play Mass Effect: Parody and Dating Sim. Our crew made jokes before, but suddenly they're more concerned about the pizza bill and a kill count competition. Shepard manages to become an even more ridiculous action hero with some of his comments to the clone. The clone plot is like something from a bad B movie. The second half is better for what it is, but several characters (especially Javik) come off a caricaturs of themselves. The game relies on alcohol for jokes instead of letting it arise from the characters. And "I heart Garrus?" Come on.

This isn't the Darkspawn Chronicles; Citadel is part of the same universe as the genophage and Sanctuary. More time with beloved characters is a good thing, but I wanted *them* not a crackfic universe. Omega has been criticized for being a pure shooterfest, but at least I don't have to go "it was all a dream" to fit it into the narrative. If inconsistency is the flaw of the endings, then Citadel is even worse. A light tone does not excuse poor storytelling.

Your crazy as hell. I can't even respect your opinion based on the fact that this is the goodbye to everything...wow

I would've loved to see what becomes of the Leviathan in a post-destroy MEU. It would be sensible to have a backup plan to ensure that the Leviathan are rendered blind and isolated in the event that they start trying to take thralls again, though diplomatic relations with a potential ally would be on the forefront.

The story was terrible! But it made up for it by tons of content and hilarity.

I just imagine it as Shepard and the squad mates having fun since they expect they won't survive the Reaper War, so they take Shore Leave to have one last chance to spend time together before they head to the Cerberus Headquarters and then to Earth. I have no problem with it though, to me it still fits in with the story. It's unrealistic to think that Shepard would never take shore leave as many soldiers in the Reaper War would. They all deserve it anyway, so why couldn't they just take a weekend off?

SpamBot2000 agreeing with David?

The apocalypse is upon us!!!!!

As for citadel itself, I love the fact that it incorporated the wider ME universe....Not just the mp, but also used characters from CDN (I counted three, the Ashlands and the turian con ARTIST, did I miss anyone).

Going forward, along with the Omega DLC, I hope we see more elements of using class specific abilities in non-game breaking moments like jack and biotic shepard in the arena vs non-biotic shepard AND engineer Shep in Omega.

I WANT armax arena in every game from now on as it provides a way to test out party combinations in actual missions (the arena gives you a much better feel for a weapon than the spectre office IMO

Hell, just plunk down the strip wherever there's a main hub...

The min-games/time wasters for the ME trilogy have been always "meh" at best but on the very last bit of content, they actually nailed it.

I spent an ejoyable hour (that I didn't even notice) on the damn clawball game since I wanted to get all the tracks for the apartment....

In terms of content and hourse spent, Citadel simply can not be matched by ANYTHING else produced for the trilogy Even LotSB doesn't come close...only quibble is what somewhat earlier said, I wanted more citadel archives and a way to access it AFTER the mission a la the shadow broker missions.

Citadel was not only the best ME3 DLC, but it was the best mission in the game by the far.

I have no idea how anyone can come to that conclusion. What exactly made it the best mission compared to the other DLC?

Entertaining dialogue, an enjoyable antagonist, the incorporation of the entire squad, and, most importantly, the fact that it didn't take its ridiculous story seriously.

And we have a winner. Also the fact that the clone did what Kai Lame was advertised to do but failed is also a massive plus.

What bothered me was the lack of CSEC during the story part. It seemed like Shepard's crew and the Clones crew are the only people that exist on the Citadel during that mission. Where did everybody go? Why is everything unsecured? No security on the docks?

C-Sec does not get invovled because Brooks says to Shepard C-Sec could have leaks(Shepard and co where attacked by mercs in a C-Sec shuttle) At this itme no one knows Brooks is the true villian so they decide to do this themself. As for hwy C-Sec secruity is not at the dock. There is automated turrets that shoot down personal not allowed there. Because Cloneshep has the codes and the finger prints where changed, the defneses beleive she ist he real Shepard. Joker and Steve both mention they need to land oyu further away in the docks os they don't get shot down.

Citadel sure is the worst.

Hours worth of Squad banter from all Mass Effect Squaddies
A Whole new mission
Great humor
Armax Arena (For the Arcadey type)
New Hub area
Minigames are back (Quasar, nuff said)
Personal scenes for every squadmate
6-12 Hours worth of gameplay alone

Yep sure is the worst DLC ever guys.

ME3 has the best collection of DLC's out of all 3 games.

I like ME1's Bringing Down the Sky. I like ME2's LotSB. And that's about it for the first two games. Pinnacle Station is meh, and Overlord is such a drag.

I enjoy each of ME3's DLC's though.

I think I'll always consider LotSB the best DLC for me, but admittedly, aside from the satisfying squad banter, bridging storyline and having more time with Liara, that damn score just sounds so great the play along with.

There isn't any CSEC anywhere though... I mean the archives had 0 security, it's as easy as blowing a hole in the ground and entering. This should be a highly secure place. Gun fire pretty much everywhere should attract CSEC. I mean it was well done when Cerberus attacked the Citadel, Csec was around and were engaged in combat. In this DLC, the Citadel just looked empty and it seemed anyone can pull off such a stunt.

I imagine there was no security for the same reason the CAT6 mercs were able to commandeer a C-Sec shuttle: Space Wizards.
