how can you play mass effect and not want to have biotics?

Easy. I've been a Soldier through all my playthroughs. Dabbled with other characters but the Soldier is just so extremely powerful and fun to play.

Wow.

Excluding ME2, an Adept sweeps the floor with everything the game can throw at you. A soldier just peeps over cover and shoots.

When I first got Mass Effect, I had no idea what "biotics' meant by game standards meant, so I went with Soldier by default.

Me too, but its just the most boring class to me, especially in ME1. A soldier´s skills are very pasive. Although I guess you can compensate with the squad.

Depends how you play I think. Charging enemies and stabbing them with an omni blade can be quite fun.

Trust me playing a soldier in ME2 and ME3 is more than just peeping over cover and shooting.  You have Concussive Shot (which in ME3 can be upgraded to do the same kind of damage as whatever ammo power you have active, giving it similar effects to Overload and Incinerate), Frag Grenade (ME3), and Adrenaline Rush (which is actually a little overpowered in ME2 when combined with a sniper rifle like the Widow), and every just about every ammo power. So yeah soldiers have a lot going for them. That said my favorite class is Vanguard. Image IPB

I will agree with your statement in regards to ME1 though. Image IPB
