Well, remember in the setting, pure-strain whites /and/ pure-strain blacks are really rare.  They go out of their way in Codexes to say that.  It's a pretty common science fiction trope that when race isn't an issue, the human race basically intermarries and certain genotypes both light and dark become really rare.  Ash and Kaidan both look like they're mixed race to me, for instance.

I know that a male romance is with Kelly Chambers, the Normandy's yeoman. Counting SuZe, that only leaves one slot left. Miranda or Samara, perhaps?



I'm assuming Miranda, actually; Samara seems a bit too "hard" to be romancible, and given how we already have SuZe to fill the coarser, blunter romance option, I don't foresee having two of the same type.



As for Tali, I don't think she will be romancible... at least, not in a sexual sense. I'm all for a platonic, emotional love between her and Shepard, but I don't expect any actual "bedding" in ME2.

We don't know that, actually. It seems Thomas' comment was misleading or a joke; if she's 'romancable,' it's something like the asari Consort.

* There's no female-female romance in Mass Effect
* Asari don't count as female.
* There's six romances, 3 for each sex.

The best buy interview wasn't the only source.  Thane and Jacob were confirmed elsewhere and Miranda's VA (the one on Chuck) confirmed her more or less in her interview.

Ok...I stand corrected. I'm for as many romances as possible, but having a ONS in-game just seems...IDK. Doesn't really translate well in gaming, but whatever works. I'd rather they just make the male LI's Miranda, SuZe, and Samara.

I agree with you.  It's stupid and not as fulfilling as a full romance plot.

The "either or" school of thought bugs me a bit.  Why not Miranda, Suze, Tali, AND Samara.  

Of course, I'm irritated.  There's a DLC character for ME2 like Shale.

Its just a grizzled Bounty Hunter and no possible love interest at all.

Why not toss gay fans a bone if you couldn't put it in the original work?

Instead, they guy looks like Tommy lee Jones.

Some of you are assuming that Garrus or Tali are romance options. We don't know that for sure yet. Don't get disappointed should one of not prove not to be.



As for M/M options, I would prefer it to be Jacob or Garrus, (preferably the former) instead of Thane. I don't want the M/M to be another morally questionable assassin.

To be fair, Kelly will also be a regular on your game.  It's less like having the Consort and more like essentially nailing Pressly or Joker (horrifying thought that may be).  Maybe after you think you're having a romance, she reveals she's married or something.

No, but it's been hinted as much as anything else in the game feedback.  There's really very little debate on the subject now.

Kelly's 'romance' could just be mild flirting with absolutely nothing physical involved.
