Still, there's room to hope is all I'm saying.  It's possible that it could be a full blown romance subplot that just doesn't involve a squadmate and could be bisexual too. 

We don't know.

Though that's highly unlikely.

Yeah i'm all for more romantic possibilities, but if it's going to be half-assed, then don't even add it. If Kelly is there just to red-box, and Samara has no romantic connotations..i'll be more than mildly upset.

In any case, I wonder if Samara is going to turn out to be "old."  Liara is in her late teens, Asarai age wise, while Samara is 600.  It's possible she's going to have an old woman voice despite being in good shape and maybe be like Wyrnn from DA:O (though plenty of people wanted to romance her).  I personally hope so, because we need more older characters in these games.

Finally I think an Asari is interesting..and it doesn't appear they are romanceable. First Shiala, now Samara.

Wasn't Shiala romancable?  At least in the context of having a emotional/sexual encounter before she went back to her job?

I have a theory why Samara might not be romancable.  Two actually.

1. They didn't want the Asari to JUST be fan service and wanted a serious non-sexual character to spout their supposed wisdom.

2. [less likely by far] She's actually Liara's father.

Shiala? The thorian? No..no romance options for her..if there was, I wouldn't have killed her. And I supposed after crafting the abomination that was Liara, the Asari race could use a better...archetype.

It'd be funny if she turns out to be 29 in asari years. She's on this suicide missions cause her twenties have blended together in a violent haze, and can't handle turning the big three-o.

Why do people assume that Kelly would be the "sex only" relationship? If anyone strikes me as fitting that description, it's SuZe. Hasn't she spent an entire video ranting about how Shepard pisses her off? Does that REALLY strike you as the kind of person who you would "romance"?

FemSheps get Jacob and Thane and someone else this time around.  That someone else is definitely not SuZe.

No F/F relationship....wow. That's disappointing. So if CH doesn't consider Samara a women thant..what Jacob, Thane, Samara..? I don't see much else.

Considering how recently mainstream, and basically universially loved f/f romances are...it seems odd not to include one.

Garrus could be a possibility for FemShep.

I'd much rather have Mordin though.

bizarrely, the Garrus fanbase is actually large enough that some believe it will actually turn out to be him.  The developers have mentioned in a couple of interviews that Tali fans and Garrus fans both pretty much said that they'd love to have them as love interests.  They've also had a couple of videos where they more or less confirmed Tali.

So there's some hints it will be the Turian spectre.

I don't mind the alien part....I just mind that they are male.
