I think you are right.  But I know I'm not the only virtual transsexual out there (guy who plays females in games when ever he can).  And it's gay for me, for my character to be strait.  In other words the strait relationship for me is for my character to be a lesbian. 

And I really don't think I'm the only guy playing females in video games. And I'm sure BioWare is aware of this. So I think they are dropping the ball a bit by not having fem/fem relationships, for all the strait virtual transsexuals.

So, is it just speculation at this point, or is there really no f/f romance option? That would be disappointing, to say the least, given that Jade Empire, ME1 as well as Dragon Age had one.

It seems according to a developer's word that there are no homosexual romances in ME 2.  It's odd, as Dragon Age's team seemed very open-minded to both males and females in this regard, and neither romance of that type seemed "forced" or phony.

It probably is their fault if this rumor is true.  They killed Origin, Bullfrog...now they stand on the idea that gay sex is weird?  When will the madness end, EA!!!!

I can't wait to see how they influcense the DLC. I can't wait until the add different colors for every squadmember's outfit...and make you pay for every color.

I don't think we will hear anything about any romances until the game comes out, TBH. They have been pretty tight lipped for months, so why would they start talking 2 weeks before release?
