I got myself covered under a 2nd account to start with this game all over again. And guess what: russian, germans and american players with high N7 level's and high score of Challenge points don't kick rookies out of gold games. Only the french players did this! So my question is why is this? Are you french players not good enough to carry some rookies through gold? Or are you just arrogant pricks and cowards :huh:? (my N7 rank with my 2nd account is currently 120, 1st account over 6000 and the N7 levels of this french players were about 5000, 6000...) I got one russian player with a N7 level over 17000 (buddy if you read this: you're a great guy :wizard:) that played as a vorcha with us 3 rookies on FB Hydra against Cerberus - and we did fine. So if you're good players and able to solo gold or platinum: don't kick rookies out of gold games - they need the money to level up their weapons and getting new characters... and after all, this game is called multiplayer! So it's about being a good and supportive teamplayer and not being an elitist egoist!!! B)

Yea I don't kick anybody really unless I suspect a cheater. The playerbase on PS3 is already dwindling enough as it is and I just want to play.

FWIW I don't kick unless someone clearly doesn't help with objectives or just stands by teammates not reviving.

I've never kicked anybody, but I do get insanely annoyed when I join a Gold game set to Hydra, and the leader and his friend go off the map and afk.

When I pug gold I check other team mates for equipment loaded. The N7 rank means nothing to me. If I see no consumables (even level 1s say they are at least trying) I leave. If I host I ask politely to load up.

There are pugs I have seen with N7 600 and over 6000 challenge points. Rank means nothing if you cannot contribute to the team.
Someone kicks you...forget it. There are always other players.

If you're a true rookie(not having a second account to start over on) then you should stillgo through the motions most of us did and do silver until you're well off enough to join gold and be a useful team member. I will make an exception to power based classes that look like they may know what they are doing with their equipment. A low n7 rank and challenge points with no equipment does put me off though.

I don't want to have to be doing most of the work in a 4 player game, it should be splint between us all for the most part. Just because someone can solo games does not mean they should HAVE to do it in public games with rookies.

I dont kick unless its platinum playing plat with nothing helpful unlocked with your n7 52 is leaching. I also dont carry noobs more than once after the game I'm off to a new lobby. I think its rude that people don't think they should pay dues in bronze and silver and expect free rides in gold/plat though.

Nope I'd kill 1 thing each wave and die.  Then I'd post a thread on bsn that your solo technique needs work and it was your fault I died every wave.

I've only been kicked a handful of times, and i've only kicked a handful of times. Usually on gold, i'll vote to kick if the rookie doesnt have any gear/consumables on. If they're super low level with all vanilla stuff, i let them hang even if they have no consumables, because i assume they just don't have any yet. But if i see them with a gold character, UR weapon, and two mods on it, but they don't have any consumables, i'll vote to kick. Unless they have a banner or a really high N7 rating.

I got kicked a few times from bronze when i was very first starting. Usually inexplicably. No words, no reasoning, just the votes to kick popping up. I occasionally get kicked if i leave my mic open and yell **** in to it, but then i expect to be kicked.

I never kick. Earlier tonight, me and a buddy didn't kick an N7 50 and a guy with a super n00bish loadout. Instead, we carried like bosses. Of course, the fools quit as soon as they bled out, but even so...

Because they shouldn't be there.

I only kick them if i'm not in the mood to carry, however. More often than not, i'll carry them to boost my e-peen.

I hate being in a lobby when they kick a player with a low n7 rank of 63, then because the n7 rank does not update instantly, I get kicked for it showing their n7 rank of 63 when mine is over 2000.

No gear or consumables = kick. And the enemies are already cheap enough on Gold. I find it mentally exhausting to do everything.

I kick after a game where the player never medigels even on objective waves and are either worthless or liabilities. I also suicide a lot now and troll the living hell out of morons that just want to be carried (switch to private so no one can join and get accidentally trolled and switch to bronze or platinum with my LOL human soldier with a modless avenger and adaptive war amp)

Sure i can drag them to the finish line but for what? Be a brainless donkey so that lazy fu*ks gain? Nope. And the excuse of "accidentally" ending up in gold doesn't hold up anymore. The default search for quick game is platinum collectors for newbies, not gold.

Now a real newbie that tries like the ~n50 human engineer i met in collectors/reactor, yeah i'll get him to the end. That HE shamed the n1k no-medigel drell vanguard by using his meager amount of medigels with common sense

Ah, "the take what I can get" mentality; the saddening reality of an aging game and even smaller console population.

~~~
One good reason to kick a rookie out of a gold match is that it will not benefit them long term. I don't believe a rookie who has very limited equipment and who spends much of the match bled out will learn much about how to play better. It used to be that players  generally brought at least a little something to the table when entering a Gold lobby. Now it's just lobby after lobby of new players who treat matches like a dice roll, hoping they'll get lucky and have some other player carry them through.
I"ve seen that more than a few times OP, the sad thing there was they joined 'my' game and it wasn't until we were in the lobby that the low N7 score was visible. The funny part was that the guy had actually worked hard during the match; did the objectives, rezzed where it was needed, killed who they could whereas the other 'better' players did much less but got the higher score.
So I don't ever kick for the pointless N7 score.
I'm french, i have high CPs and i while usually don't kick rookies in gold (too many of them nowadays anyway) i fully support those that do and will get in the kicking bandwagon with pleasure. I will kick 100% of the time in plat though.
This is a coop game, the coop part is one of the most pleasant aspects, if not the most, of this game.
When you are imposing yourself (yes, imposing) in a game you're not apt for, it's like declaring to the other people in the lobby: "screw your taste for that most pleasant aspect of the game".
Every legit gold player has a right to shove that declaration where it belongs.
Just go and progress like most of these players, including myself, did.
