I dont kick unless its platinum playing plat with nothing helpful unlocked with your n7 52 is leaching. I also dont carry noobs more than once after the game I'm off to a new lobby. I think its rude that people don't think they should pay dues in bronze and silver and expect free rides in gold/plat though.
would you kick me, poopico?
i wouldn't kick you
Nope I'd kill 1 thing each wave and die. Then I'd post a thread on bsn that your solo technique needs work and it was your fault I died every wave.
hahahaha, well done

Besides if you need to be carried hard in your gold matches. I don't think you should be there yet in the first place. You admitted yourself that you're a rookie. Even if this is already your second account, it means most of your gear and mods are still low level and you probably still have low consumable capacity. Silver is there so you can play with the barest of manifests and make some headway with your stuff while stocking up on equipments for gold.
There is a reason there are lower difficulties in this game. Unless of course you're only concern is credits regardless how adversely you affect the other players in the team.

Yea I don't kick anybody really unless I suspect a cheater. The playerbase on PS3 is already dwindling enough as it is and I just want to play.
You know, today I kicked a player.
I could tolerate low N7, Challenge points, no equipment whatsoever...
but I wanted to give him the message that he can do better than brining level 7 character to U/U/G match.
Could I carry him? Hell yeah.
Could we carry him as a team? You bet we can.
...but I simply didn`t want him to think it`s OK to play level 7 character and press ready button without any equipment on when he plays Gold+.

I was of this school of thoughts a couple months back. Then I figured it's not fun to sit in a lobby forever before finding decent pugs.

If my lobby doesn`t work out, I have no problem joining other lobbies.
If that dude put on at least one lvl 1 explosive ammo, I would have kept him without problem.
For all I know, he could have gotten that character with last specter pack and got him leveled to 7 and trying him for his first run.
Most of the time, these totally new players I give chance, they turn out to be a quitter anyway.

But there is NO EXCUSE for bringing in character less than level 10 in gold/plat PuG games.

If I am playing with at least one friend (who is preferably not in the other side of the planet), any pug/rookie/noob is welcome. Some even gave kick votes a few times, probably because I use low level characters, lol.
However, If I am by myself using the quick match option, I would have a good look on what the lobby has to offer before anything else. Playing with a random host, who most likely has no mic, is a lot more serious. Also, join a game in progress is not an option.

Ok but i don't think you're going to carry anyone. From your spectre mastery social.bioware.com/n7hq/home/challenges/ , 15140342 points in 2221 waves = average ~80k per game. Decent player but not really a carrier.

I am a decent player but not superman and there are real limits to how many people I can carry in a game also I dislike the experience even when I pull it off.
Playing gold with competent players is a hell of a lot of fun but playing gold with absolute noobs is just hell.
Personally I learned to play in bronze and silver before I moved to gold.

I agree completely. While I understand that the store makes people going for gold/ platinum even if they're low level and not experienced, newbies should anyway stick to bronze/silver at least until all their common and uncommon weapons are maxed out. In this way they will make experience, learn how enemies spawns, learn how to use soft cover, and have a decent loadout and equipment that allows them to be gold viable.
