It's just gold. One rookie is not a problem, especially when he/she is using some consumables. The problem is that sometimes I got droped into u/u/g lobbies with the 3 rookies, that have some insane OP loadouts like Locust 3 + Explosive Rounds 2. And I'm not always in the mood for soloing.

I don't really care about the team level.
Rookies or no I just want to get going and presumably killed in a glorious fashion.
I do get a bit worried when I do silly loadouts though, like sniper furys (Will make that work well at some point dammit!) or Sniper Drell Vanguard or other stuff. But what I've seen is that rookies don't mind at all if I got a weird loadout. I could go in wielding a rubber chicken and still play with rookies. Love em fer it.

So, kicking is ethnicity-related now? Stay classy BSN. Wonder who's the arrogant ******, huh. And I don't kick in gold, unless cheating/leeching.

I'm curious OP -- how well have you been doing on gold on this 2nd account? Given your experience I'm thinking you should do better than the typical low level noob, right? I may be trying this out myself -- going on vacation and thinking to buy the game for a family member's XBox. Thought it'd be interesting to start over for a bit, see how I do.

I... French? Wat?

I saw an N7 6 hosting a Gold match yesterday. I left the lobby. Sorry, low N7 dude/chick. You might be a damned fine player, but that Mantis and Shuriken you're carrying are too heavy for my backpack.

Ok but i don't think you're going to carry anyone. From your spectre mastery social.bioware.com/n7hq/home/challenges/ , 15140342 points in 2221 waves = average ~80k per game. Decent player but not really a carrier.

lol..... not that I am an expert or something but how is this just 2221 waves which seems to be the "current" progress and completely ignoring the fact that s/he completed this mastery twice already so that's like 5000 waves plus 2221 and 50000000 points plus the current 15140342 points???

Not that it matters to me but I fail to see your logic.... am I missing something???

I got myself covered under a 2nd account to start with this game all over again. And guess what: russian, germans and american players with high N7 level's and high score of Challenge points don't kick rookies out of gold games. Only the french players did this! So my question is why is this? Are you french players not good enough to carry some rookies through gold? Or are you just arrogant pricks and cowards ? (my N7 rank with my 2nd account is currently 120, 1st account over 6000 and the N7 levels of this french players were about 5000, 6000...) I got one russian player with a N7 level over 17000 (buddy if you read this: you're a great guy :wizard:) that played as a vorcha with us 3 rookies on FB Hydra against Cerberus - and we did fine. So if you're good players and able to solo gold or platinum: don't kick rookies out of gold games - they need the money to level up their weapons and getting new characters... and after all, this game is called multiplayer! So it's about being a good and supportive teamplayer and not being an elitist egoist!!! B)

Why would you want to play gold with a low level character and supbar equipment? For the challenge? OK, but do this with friends. You can't expect the others to do the job for you. As you stated it's a multiplayer, you're supposed to do something

Also, bashing French players is easy. Of course we are a bunch of arrogant pricks (yeah, I'm French), not cowards, well not so much :innocent:. OTOH, I've played with plenty of german/russian/american players who wouldn't gel or couldn't do squat despite being equiped and having high N7/challenge score. Both do not represent skill, only grind level.

I don't kick players but if people don't at least put some equipment on and have sensible loadouts I will leave.

And yeah striker as lone weapon in Gold or Platinum equals automatic "I'm not playing with you"

I hope this is because of missile glitchers...the striker is pretty good gun on some characters, if you don't lag much.

I actually tried this with an alternate account in PSN and its a very interesting "experiment". As expected though, low level common and uncommon weapons without AP mods sucks major balls against armor. The low consumable capacity also took some getting used to (no more rage gelling ugh!) as well as the lack of gear/mods.

Power classes are still effective though even with a starter manifest. I brought a lvl 20 HumanEngi with a modless Vindicator 1 on gold reapers with just an AP I ammo / Power Amp I equipped with no gear whatsoever and I still managed to get second place by just simply spamming FEs. Probably raised a few eyebrows with some of my UR toting teammates LOL.

It did took me a while to find a gold lobby that would tolerate my N7 35 ranking though (not that I blame them) and I even got kicked from a few silver games. I advise you to try it, if just for the novelty of the experience.

Personally, I don't really like carrying in gold. I hate running into a gold pug where there's two or more people that haven't had the game very long. Also, if the host is from Europe, I leave immediately because my connection to that part of the world sucks and I don't want to be on laggy bait duty anyway.

When you complete a challenge, all the sub challenges that meet the required number are reset. Spectre mastery requires ALL sub challenges to be done. This means if you finish spectre mastery, your points, waves and medals all go back to 0.

This also means that as long as you do not hit the maximum, 2.5 million points, 2500 waves, you can calculate a average points per wave. Wave 11 is not counted by yoiu can simply multiply by 11 to reach an average per game (unless you spawn nuke wave 11 every time to get tons of points which does not register) and the number is not exact which is why i normally round it up or add an additional 10%.

If you DO hit the maximum in points or waves, any calculation attempt will be greatly hampered as the guy might have accumulated 3 million points over 2000 waves but spectre mastery only lists 2.5 million points.

You can attempt to spin it by saying how you completed the previous masteries by maxing your points while you're waves were only halfway through and you're now playing in bronze and silver for challenges. But it does not negate the fact that CURRENTLY since the last spectre mastery completion, the points and waves stand as the do now.

ah.... thanks! still a bit weird way of gauging one's competence in the game if you ask me, since like you said the mastery may not provide a clear picture of scores per game.....

If I'm in a gold lobby with 1 other competent player I don't care if the other 2 are N7 1's.

I would assume otherwise some other gun would likely have been mentioned.

If there's just one rookie and if their kit/gear looks okay, then I don't mind. But lately there are tons of new players on PC who join a gold lobby with their N7 of <20, with their Avenger II and no gear... and really... no matter how good you are, you're going to drag the team down with that and I don't want to carry all the time.
Yesterday I had to carry wave 7-10 Collectors/Gold/White Hazard as a Batarian Sentinel with Kishock and Raider - offhost. I wasn't prepared for that (only using lvl2 consumables) and it took ages.
I don't play multiplayer to solo stuff...

also non consmable use. if i see a low N7/CP with even lvl 1 gear on, i'll usually take my chances. sometimes i'm surprised. sometimes they're just decoys.

I don't kick in Gold or below, unless someone is cheating. If I am trying something weird I just switch to something more reliable.

I very rarely kick. And when I do, it's when everyone else in the lobby votes and it's justified. Most of the time, I ready up.

I kick if it is obvious they're leaching. If they're a low level N7 with non ideal weapons but they at least equip gear and consumables I'll give them a shot because they're indicating they're here to play and contribute. When they show up with a Shuriken II and no gear and consumables then ready up immediately, it's obvious they're looking to leach.

This IS a team game designed for 4 players working together, not for 1-2 people to do all the work while the other 2-3 watch in spectator mode and get easy credits.

i played gold with two friends and for a fourth we took anyone who put on any consumable at all ( even just a level one ammo power ).   Damn if the N7 something does not bleed out on wave 6 then quit ( was condor reapers - could have been worse, could have been geth condor ).  So we had to three man the rest of it.

i just don't like it when people quit when they realize that they are in over there head and don't like spectating.

^^^ What these boys said. I agree.

Also, I am still at the stage where clutching and/or carrying a match pleasantly strokes my e-boobs, so I'm still willing to don the backpack as needed.
