My N7 is still less than 120, but I've never been kicked. Not even from Gold, and I've PuGed Gold quite a few times. I've had a couple of lobbies try and kick me, but they gave up when the third player wouldn't do it. The funny part is, the kickers are the ones I always end up reviving and outscoring.

Before I had my medigel cap up to 5, I was definitely struggling to get through later Waves in Gold, but I never felt like I failed to carry my weight, and any vets with me in their PuG lobby were content to have me there. If they felt I wasn't doing my part, they never said anything about it.

I'm not a rookie, as in the thread title. I had to start over on PS 3, but I had quite a lot of playing time on Xbox last year. I see lots of solid play from low N7s, and lots of incompetent play from high N7s. N7 reflects experience, but it certainly doesn't tell you about a players' skill, or whether they are capable improving with that experience.

Clearly an exception not the norm. Most people who are not in the mood for a carry will just simply not take the chance. They have as much of a right to refuse to play with people who are PROBABLY going to be a burden..

If I'm hosting with what appear to be bad pugs I'll switch it to U/G/G and Kroguard it

As long as I have Cyclonic and Incendiary Ammo IV's.

You cant kick mid game but when you promote your level goes to 1 from 20 does not mean you a rookie. Good clue is N7 rating and challenge points.
