I can only imagine there will be since we have the ability to upgrade the guns on our ship, but flying the ship and shooting the guns is the crews job. Not shepards.

There will be space combat scenes that can change based on your ship's upgrades but it won't be controlled directly by the player.

You have no evidence to support that claim, just because ME2 was like that, it doesn't mean ME3 will be like that also. Remember, it's not just the Normandy who will be in the fray, but every race in the galaxy (and their respective armadas).

And if BW does the upgrade thing again, it means their running out of ideas.
