Wraith for general all-purpose usefulness, and I quite like the Raider as well. The Venom is very hit and miss, but I love ragdolling mooks with it.

 I don't see why we keep on having this best shotgun arguement. There are quite a few shotguns that are awesome such as M-300 Claymore, Reegar Carbine, AT-12 Raider, Graal Spike Thrower, Geth Plasma Shotgun, Piranha, M-358 Talon, M-11 Wraith, the Venom, and the N-7 Crusader. Even the M-23 Katana, M-27 Scimitar, M-22 Eviscerator, and the Disciple can do just fine. In fact, I would say that there are no bad shotguns at all.

Best shotgun depends on the class, there is no objective 'best'.

Nobody has ever called the Crusader or the Wraith any variant of their name including "LOL" or "CRUTCH". Therefore, it's between those two.

To answer RJ's question: Talon

If you want to get strict about weapon categories, then Wraith.

Raider, Piranha and Reegar are up there depending on what job you want to accomplish but Wraith is the most versatile.

Personally, I don't like not having control over the delay on the 2nd shot. Yes I know I can use powers over it as well as get rid of the delay with ROF buffs, but it's still not something I like about it.

I'd rather just reload cancel a Claymore, unless it's a character that absolutely cares about cooldowns.

Depends on what you are doing for casters wraith or piranha. I cant seem to reload cancel properly with claymore so I dont use it. imo best shotgun is the reager.

The man speaks the truth. The Claymore probably gets more hype because it's easier to obtain. That's my guess, anyway. I really don't understand why else you'd take this gun over the Wraith.
