Crusader on melee characters four shots ready to go. Hard hitting will do close range once you get use to it love it hate it no middle ground .
Wraith and casters equal win decent gun mid range and short .
Crusader is my favorite mostly because it is hip fire friendly and even if you don't head shoot everything it doesn't take much to kill anything . It has quicker rate of fire than most shot guns which wins it for me the other plus is no ap needed if you must hvb covers any extra penetration you may want though . I use it on most of my characters that don't require cooldown so weight is not a factor for me .

Even as a PC player I much preffer my Wraith IV over my Claymore X

Reegar. It's godlike. Give it lots of anti-armor mods/ammo and it takes down anything very, very fast.
The Claymore isn't terrible, but not that great.

Ah, and with Drill Rounds 3 plus both mods for piercing, you can hit almost anything it can get in range regardless of any intervening obstacles, which is sort of amusing.

Claymore. More efficient than wraith. Also that ching sound at the end of the shot always reminds me of that noise the thing that covers neo makes when he swallows the red pill.

I'd go with the Wraith. The Raider is nice, but the inaccuracy is a big downside for most kits. The Reegar is the true best, but it's not even a shotgun to me.
For anyone that doesn't understand Claymore love, its the reload cancel death trance. It has an amazing rhythm to it.
