Right now on my 1st play through from ME1 to ME3 and am still plugging away with the missions. I've played mE3 on the PS3 many moons ago and it was my first exposure to the series.

A few thoughts on the game so far ( ignoring the terrible ending thats still waiting happen)

Pros:
* Maps bigger, more detailed and being able to explore a bit more than you could in ME2. Still not as good as ME but its an improvement.
* Skills tree - an improvement over ME2 for sure, although I still prefer the upgrade paths in ME1 but its nice to be able to tailor your and your squad's skills to how you want it.
* Weapons upgrade - better than ME2 and its good that you actually have some stats as to what each upgrade actually brings to each weapon.
* More access to the Citadel - this was a real bug bear with me in ME2, esp after having played ME1 and getting to really see what the Citadel was actually like and its good to have some of that back in ME3. Illium kind of made up for it in ME 2 so, its good that you've got more access this time around. I still would have liked to have been able to wander around the sections of the citadel that were open and accessible in ME1.
* CSEC - You would have thought after the Saren/Soverigns attack that the place would be swarming with Csesc in ME2 and Shep mentions that there's a lot of CSEC about but in ME2 you just don't get to see that. There's ahrdly any csesc officers in ME2 esp when compared to ME. So good to see that improve.
* Access to the Shuttle bay on the Normandy  - I couldn;t understand why this part of the ship was offlimits until the SM in ME2, so its good to have access to all parts of the ship.
* Graphics on the whole are improved over ME2 and thats a good thing.
*  NPC's - choices that were made in ME1/Me2 like saving Major Kirrahea or Dr Micheal and meeting them again in ME3.
* More weapons - better selection of weapons than in ME2 but still not as good as ME.  Would have been nice to have each weapons stats before you pull the trigger to buy it.
* Alliance HQ is in Vancover BC !

Cons:
* Face Import bug - I can;t beleive that after nearly 1 year this issue is still not fixed. I've had no luck in getting my orignla femshap's face to show up correctly in ME3. Its a deal breaker in my book - I'm playing the game and its not my shep that I'm seeing on screen. As soon as I can get the face sorted out, I'll be restarting the whole damn game.
* NPC faces - there's been some serious changes to the way some of the core NPC's look in the game and most of them have not been for the good - Jokers and Dr Chakwa's faces are prime examples.
* Lip sync - something else thats driving me nuts. This was never a problem in ME/ME2.
* Animantion esp running - Shep, NPCs and you name it all have gone backwards in terms of the animation, just way too fast or awkard looking and at times terrible to watch.
* Soundtracks - so far theres been not one single soundtrack thats stood out in ME3. With ME/ME2 most of the mission or side quest seemed to a really good sound track to them.
* Dialogue - Whats with the lack of dialogue choices - esp if you want to say something renegade or paramount.? I'm finding that key sections where in ME/ME2 you were likely to make choices and answers, your just sitting there watching cuts scene's and then  right at the end get to say a few things. Why can't you speak to crew NPC's regularly esp those that came over from ME2 like Donnely and Daniels ???
* Squad - All of my squad in ME/ME2 survived so you should have had the option to recruit as many of them as possible and have them with you on the mission. In ME/Me2 I was picking specific team mates for certain missions and using their skills, where as in ME3 I'm just going for Garrus and Liara all the time. A big step backwards. Why couldn;t Grunt joing the squad or even get a Batarian squad member  have some one from STG like Major Kirahee join Shep?
* Cerberus/Collector base - I decided to keep the collector base and not break my ties with Cerberus after SM, andafter Arrival I refused to hand shep into Alliance custody, but none of that's taken into account in ME3 which is just well .. exteremly rubbish.
* Shep's strength and stamina. Weapons and weight appear to make no difference in how they handle in ME3 where as in the previous games even with the max'd out stamina Shep still would get out of breath or would be effected by the type of weapon that was being used.
* Mini-games and hacking - I really liked these in the previous games but its been seriously dumbed down in ME3.
* Holstering weapons - you had it in ME1 and ME2 so why's it been removed in ME3 ??
* Shiney N7 arnour - I'd liked to have kept the option ME2 option to have a non-shiny relective armour.
* Normandy's physical state - I mean whats with the state of Normandy once the Alliance has got its hands on the ship ?
* Wrex and Shep's first meeting on the Normandy was just all wrong, esp when you see how Wrex greets Shep on ME2 for the first time since Shpe's return. It should have been like that and not as if they had never met. The same goes for the Rachni queen - in Me3 the first bit of dialog is as if Shep had never met the Queen in ME1 on Noveria.

This bothered me at first. Then I realized they were in the middle of re-doing it when the Reapers attacked.
But why Shep does not assign a few people to clean it up during ME3...

You mentioned the face import thing as well. I thought Shep looked great in 2.

I can think of 2 more pro's to ME3.
- Squadmates interaction  in the lounge was a nice touch
- Liara being aboard!!:wub::wub:

Shep in ME2 and even in ME1 looked great .. I know its a personal thing and we all have our own Shep's so if the face import worked from ME to ME2, they should have made sure it worked for 3. I've tried using some of the work around's for the face import and none of them have worked so far.

Having Liara on board is a definite nice touch .. we should have had the option of being able to select some of the other squad players from ME2, rather than seeing them in a wee cameo role.

Another few cons -
Squad weapons - Why are your squad mates restricted to 2 weapons types ? This applies to ME2 as well but was never an issue in ME. You would think that all of them would at least have a pistol by default.
Cerberus Turrets - These vanish if you take out the Cerberus units , so you don't even have to engage and destroy them.
Merc Units - do we ever get to see all of the merc's fighting in the game at any stage ??
Crouching - not being able to crouch without being against an object is something that peeved me off in ME2 and its even more annoying in ME3.
RPG elements - really watered down compared to ME..

Pros -
* Cerberus Unit types - I like the selection and variety of the units but think there should have been more with biotic abilities aka Eclipse Vanguards.

I'd like to add the Leviathan and Citadel but I've yet to play through either.

PS.. your Shep loooks just fab !
