When I was in Iraq and Kuwait in 1991 we had to deal with camel spiders

I agree there. I also feel the same way about lizards, which I used to deal with when I lived in Miami.

The thing with critters in the house is that they can get in places they're not supposed to be, which is bad. A couple of years ago I went to wipe my face with a towel, and on moving the towel a quarter-sized spider came crawling from behind the fold. If I hadn't seen it I would have squished it into my face. It's not the spider's fault, of course, but things like that are why I don't want them in the house.

As an arachnophobe there is something about the eyes, legs & palps that always gives me the jibblies when we put giant spiders in our games.
