A lot of new games have come out and I wonder what keeps bringing ppl back. I havent posted in a while but even the forums are still rly active lol.
I told myself I would play until I reclaimed my number 1 title but I still love this game and probably will still play for months.
What keeps you guys coming back?
So, what keeps you playing this game.

The gameplay is still fun.
I've started challenges to diversify and try new things. (Or old things in new ways)
Borderlands 2 wore itself out too quickly.

I use it as my "I want to kick some ass"- game. Whenever I get frustrated in other games, or if I'm just in the mood for some fast paced action, I start up this game and tear sh*t up with my soldier or infil.
I just think the core gameplay is good, yes there are numerous bugs, but as long as I don't play for too long on any given day they don't get under my skin so to speak.

Yea for a series with multiplayer as only an add on it was a huge succes. I just hope the next game does it well.

Mass effect 3's been a lot of things. This is where I started making my first youtube videos, and I plan to learn as much as I can about film production. I've had the chance to develop my social skills among a much more appreciative and mature(?) crowd than the one at my high school.
And I got a PC, finally. first PC experience, playthrough of the entire Mass Effect Trilogy with all DLC, which I've been wanting to buy for a while now.
It also serves as a way for me to continue to not only keep investing in science fiction outside of books, as I cannot afford Eve Online in either time nor money, but it also allows me to invest in a nature of science fiction very rarely seen in other works. friends and teamwork. Mass Effect is unique in that way.
but most of all, nostalgia. one day I am going to show my kid(s) this trilogy and these forums (what I can save of them) and if i am in a position of sufficient power, try to keep Mass Effect alive long enough to become a permanent part of VR, if it's around.

I like to role-play with the various kits. I pretend all my characters together are one big elite squad just like Shepard's, relationships and all.

Well this is the first multiplayer game to keep me interested in playing it over and over in a long while. I still have tons of friends who play, and Xbox One releases this year so I'm content on not buying any new games.

The only other type of game (apart from Civ5) that I find myself still playing this long after release is an MMO.
Like an MMO...ME3MP is with real people, adds a random element (or social, if friends) that is a unique experience if not challenge each time.
Unlike an MMO...
I don't have to excel at "life abandonment skills" to be decent, and I can scratch my gaming itch in as little as 30 minutes.
