I go with Ashley, Liara, Miranda and Jack depending on the character they are the only ones that hold any interest

I love Jack's she's one of the deepest characters in the game once you start really conversing with her

I agree, she's not the usual "nice" LI we often have in Bioware games. She's angry because she has a painful past. She really opens up and shows her vulnerable side once you get to know her. They really did a good job of creating her character, IMO.

as a male, i prefer playing female shep because i find the relationships more sincere than others... or more tolerable
miranda is just ****** and ass, a sex fantasy but nothing more
tali, i got pissed when i played ME1 for the first time when it forced her into my squad because i found her annoying and cannot even fathom tolerating her for a LI
jack, in ME2 i was afraid shed rip off my junk
ashley, while there is nothing wrong with being religious, my tolerance for those heavily sporting the christian faith to be short after i was labeled a rapist in my highschool for not being one... im not joking...
liara, idk what it is that does not attract me to her i guess shes just not my cup of tea
kelly i was interested in though but since she was not a squaddie she was a bit shafted in the content and depth perspective especially since it only spanned ME2

Miranda is the only option that feels like a real romance to me. She's the only option for my Shepard.

Everyone else is just... bad.

I will admit, I have different tastes than other people.

Kaidan and Liara for ME:3. I love how both of their romances grow in the last game and I think that they are far better - for broshep - than any of the other available options. Even if they were your friends, I would still think that they are, generally, nice squadmates to talk to. I don't know about you guys, but I love the scene when Liara gives you her 'gift', and even if you are just friends, it is so nostalgic and beautiful. I love how Kaidan actually roams around the ship, unlike Ashley, which gives him a stronger connection to the crew. His citadel date scene is really well voice acted and actually fits with broshep, but I was suprised that BioWare didn't just patch it up in the previous installments to make it importable through non save-editing means for broshep. Both of them, next to Garrus, are probably your most loyal squadmates and their scenes are so much better compared to all the other romances. My favorite romance moments for them include: Lair of the Shadowbroker kiss scene when Liara overthrows him; Liara playing the piano in Citadel/ her final romance scene before Cronos station; Kaidan with his puppy dog eyes before evacuating, and his Citadel date scene which is really romantic. Obviously, I am incredibly bias, but based on these forums and YouTube gamers... a lot of people would actually agree with me that Kaidan, Liara, and Garrus have the best romances. I know a lot of people like Cortez/Traynor/Ashley, but I just could not really feel the connection - that drive that makes me want to play this game with them. The flashback scenes for all three of them are just unbearable T.T

My canon Shepard didn't romance anyone.

If Miranda's dossier would have been in the vanilla game or discovered before it was too late, and if Shepard had more options to fight with her without arguing himself into mute-zone, it might have been her - she appears to be the only character who's "broken" enough to fit my trainwreck of a protagonist.

P.S.: And maybe a little less idiotic outfit. Why?

I love them all each for different reasons a year ago Thane was my favorite prior to that Kaidan now I love Garrus the best. If Jack were available to Femsheo I may like her best as it is she is my favorite character in terms of growth but as for the romances I love them all. Who I love the best alternates with the day. Bioware did a fabulous job of creating a band of NPC's that captured my heart.

I tend to default to Liara, she's the kind of girl I like in real life.

For those times I do play as male Shepard I like to romance Jack. So much of her story potential is tied into the 'romance' arc that I really get the feeling of missing out when playing as FemShep. Something that doesn't happen with the other male only romances, such as Tali.

As a Male Shep, my Fav's, I'll go with Ash,Tali, and Miranda
but i have no problems with the others, I liked Jacks, and Liaras

Miranda by far. I want to say Liara as well, but her part in Mass Effect 3 sucks whether she's your LI or not, and that one scene where you have biotic sex with her is barely worth it over Miranda's cut-off-because-ME2 romance scene. My problem is that you can reach out to Liara whenever you like in ME3 but she only has about 3 or 4 conversations in total, and otherwise she always says "Hello Shepard." or "It's good to see you" and that's it, whereas most of the other squadmates have many more comments after missions.
