Straight Shepard it's Jack. She's a great character. Gay male Shepard it's Kaidan. Kadian is a great guy. Hell in RL I'd married Jack and keep Kaidan as our boy-toy.

Straight FemShep it's Thane (though Garrus is a close second). For some reason I like Kaidan better in a gay romance (which is, sadly only the 3rd game).

I haven't played lesbian Shepard yet.

For manShep, I like Steve, Miranda, and Jack.

1. Liara (cannonical sweetheart for my Shepard. Bought me with her naive, geekish style in ME1, then I had a moment of being angry on her because of Ilium encounter, but then it was LotSB and ME3 was all about Liara)
2. Miranda (tried to go for her in ME2 but he dumped me, yet remained important to my Shep as a friend)
3. Tali (liked her very much in ME1, then tried to go for her in ME2, but it didnt felt right. Shes my Sheps little sister.)
4. Ashley (she was interesting in the beginning of ME1 but then Liara took my Shep over. Good choice as Liara stood behind him no matter what, which was too hard for Ash tho. She goes along well with Vega, tho )
5. Jack (didnt liked her at all in ME2, she was an ****, always needed to be tempered. But then in ME3 she changed her attitude, focused her energy on proper things instead of pointless raging, thus made friends with my Shepard)

It was of course maleshep.

Miranda is the only one for me. For RP purposes, I'll romance Ashley in ME1, but I always move on to Miranda.

If I ever played Femshep, I'd take Thane (though I really don't want to romance an alien), though I'd still go for Miranda if I could. For a fanfic I might start writing soon, it will be a Femshep/Miranda.
