I've just posted a link to the Xbox Magazine review of Remember Me. It's interactive in that it asks you a few pointed questions and calculates the rating based on your answers.

What did you guys get?

Sounds like another Mirror's Edge. Innovative game concept, but... not actually fun to play?

The review actually mentions Mirror's Edge. It's one of the questions.:D

Ahhh...  So, I made selections but I don't see where my 'score' is calculated...?

At the bottom, the green number. It starts off as a 7 if you don't select anything. Mess around with the options and you'll see how it changes.

D'OH! I thought that was the REVIEWER'S score. I came up with a 7.

I watched a couple of the earlier trailers and I thought it had an innovative concept but would ultimately be tedious. (I do not like brawlers.) Also, the concept of the 'good guy' 'rewriting' a person to cause them to commit suicide made me uncomfortable.

It's also the reviewer's score provided you don't select any of the options.

Yeah, I didn't like that very much. Hopefully there's another way around it.

IGN. I love thee.

Bro, the gameplay has problems m'kay. The rest of the game was apparently pretty good yada yada yada who cares, but the gameplay.

That's fine as long as it's playable. There are so, so many games with excellent gameplay that it's easy to overlook the flaw of poor gameplay as long as the rest of it is good. I've accepted below average gameplay often enough from Obsidian and Bioware, and I can make one more exception for this one.

Believe me I'm with you on that. Alpha Protocol<3

I don't know. I may be wrong but I enterpreted that as she did that in the past and she is still trying to deal with it. Once you start messing around with people heads you really can't know how they will react, you can think you do but that's not always going to be the case.

Maybe that's the point they want to drive home.

Updated with a few more reviews, still waiting on TB and AngryJoe. Nonetheless, the consensus seems to be around 7/10 for what it's worth.

Anybody critical of this game is clearly just being a misogynist.

I will definitely play it as soon as I find the time.

I absolutely adore the visual style, and most reviews agree that both the acting/story as well as the gameplay are very solid, if not groundbreaking.
The only downer for me is that there's no sneak system whatsoever. I know, they never even claimed to have one, I just always hoped for it, because I believe it would have fitted both the protagonist and the setting so very well.

But then again, I was also disappointed that Puzzle Bobble came without a sneak system.

This looks like a "get it next year once it hits $20" game for me.

There is something about the gameplay style and the overall character animations that really puts me off. I'm pretty surprised to see that it actually got some positive reviews. Early impressions from gameplay made me think this game was going to flop really badly. Still, not sure if I'll ever buy it myself.

Yeah, I think I'll pass. Seemingly repetitive combat, dull enemies, strict linearity, simplistic platforming when the game always holds your hand and rather forgettable supporting cast kinda outweight the positive points. To think, this could have been amazing if it was open world where you could choose contracts and do more memory hunting, also if it had more fleshed out characters. I'll still wait for reviews since I'm curious what AngryJoe and TotalBiscuit think about it.

I dunno, I'm still going to try it out for myself. I mean...how many reviews have we all seen that were bloated (ME3 ring a bell?), or intentionally review-bombed (RE6). I will make up my own mind.

It may end up sucking, or it may end up fantastic, who knows. Some of my favorite games are ones that were originally pooped on by reviewers. It all just depends on your taste and priorities.

Remember Me has the same metacritic score as one of my favorite games, Infinite Undiscovery. I think you're right that seeing for yourself is the best thing to do with this.

I have it, but I'm finishing Dead Space 3 before I start into it.

This is their specialty. Most third party games published through Capcom are crap.

I was going to get it, but the 6-11 hours rapidly changed my mind. I don't pay $60 for games of that length. I am now going to wait for a reduction in price. Still looks fun and refreshing, though.
