Cricketer and I have been trolling PUGs with Avengers/other hipster classes since the beginning of time.
Best build for avenger is GI. Most fun setup is probably HSol without AR and disruptor/incendiary ammo

The Mantis will serve you well, back when I started playing it was the only SR I owned. Took me forever to unlock anything else...RakeWorm wrote...

Pfft, Claymore+Smart Choke and you have an imprompto SR, one that even bypasses shieldgate by default.

My manifest in general is terribad. I only have 140 hrs played. I was lucky and got the Javelin early, so that's been my primary SR I've used with periodic delving into the Widow. I still don't have the BW. I didn't used to snipe much, but have been doing it quite a bit lately for a change of pace. I tried out the Valiant and didn't care much for it. I'm not reliable enough with headshots to make it worthwhile.

Scimitar usually. It sucks so hard that if you're not accurate, you're dead. After using that for a few painful games, I'm a MFing surgeon with anything else.

Krogan Soldier with the Avenger. QFI with the Tempest. SI with the Disciple. I know the Disciple is a rare, but clutching 2 Atlases and a Phantom after your PUGs bleed out (because you know using one medigel in a gold match is for suckers), will make you feel like a boss.

Merc mentioned trying to complete every challenge in N7HQ at least once, so I started doing that. Finished the Predator, Mantis, Katana and Revenant all on Gold yesterday.

I often take the Locust, very decent SMG. Because it is a very stable and reliable SMG it's like carrying a headshot device. I don't get people who say it's a piece of crap...

I've tried using it without headshotting and I can see why people dislike it.
It's a great backup weapon reguardless of class, you just need to be accurate.
