I honestly couldn't begin to remember which one was my first game... I started playing in the arcades before I got a NES.
Good chance it's either Ninja Gaiden, Ghouls and Goblins or a Streets of Rage-like beat 'em up game who's name I can't remember.
I'll always have a special fondness for the Double Dragon games though; beating up the bad guys as Billy Lee (and later his brother Jimmy) and saving the girl at the end of the day! ![]()
And of course Sonic, the game I played like crazy at a friend's house when I wasn't trying to convince my mom to buy me a SEGA Genesis (Megadrive over here).

Secret of the Silver Blades on the PC. But my first computer game was an artillery sim written on the old time cards.

Can't remember now, either the Pacman or the Space Invaders clone on the BBC B.

That was an extremely good, innovative and fun game, even at todays standards. And it was HARD.
On the Commodore Amiga.

I can't remember the name of the game but it was a text-based adventure on the Commodore 64 from the early '80s.
