Becasue that's what I do nowadays in order to have fun. There's nothing more difficult in getting every single PUG out alive (with oneself as well) because PUGs don't always make great choices. So I try to save them. However, I'm not a bleeding heart for this as I don't rush in to get them so a lot of times they get stomped on the extraction wave, which makes me a sad panda.

Anyone else feel like they haven't really succeeded on a mission unless the full team extracts? Or is it just me?

Eh extraction comes every man for himself!

No, as soon as Wave 11 starts, it's every man for himself. Any slight pretense of teamwork I had going with the PUGs goes straight out the window.

If they're not holding the LZ, I will try to save them. If they're about to get sync killed, well, I save as many of my missiles for extraction as I can for a reason. But the point of this is: they can't be running around score whoring, they need to stand back and follow my lead.

A lot of my friends get killed for this reason :]

I have decided to only play "OP" kits and weapons when pugging unless I end up in a lobby with a bunch of fellow BSN'ers. Which means I will try and do everything in my power to get us to wave 11.

Once wave 11 starts, as others have noted, it's every PUG for themselves.

Nah, I just run around in circles during extraction. Sometimes PUGS do it too, and we get a little train going.

Nah I goof off during extraction, sometimes not extracting. Full manifest and n7 mastery. Literally exp and money no longer matter to me. Now I get to...uh...play the game.

Feh. I mostly look out for myself and friends if they're in the game, but if a pug's corpse is laying on the ground on the way to the LZ, I'll probably drop a gel on him as I run past.

Yes, we are a team. Back in the shuttle.... the culling begins. Actually, I just leave.

i'd have to go with the simple answer and say "no" especially if they are camping the LZ they are on their own.

Eh, same.
It's not a good game if we don't get full extraction.

I'll try to warn them not to camp the LZ...

Depends on how game went and if they were helping or just dead weight. Never if they are in lz before the last 30 seconds. If they are score padding with rockets I kite sync killers to them and then leave the area.

I once ran past a banshee and some brutes to get one PUG a few months back. It worked out despite being utterly stupid. It seemed like a good idea, and I personally felt that was one of the best moments I've had while playing ME3MP.

But I know that feel. You can't always save them all. Sometimes the zone is just too hot.

When I am hosting, I tend to take more care about other teammates.
If I am not the host... I usually just take safer steps.

One time I saved a guy in Giant using my missile just because I know I could.
I died in the process (Atlas explosion !), but we both managed to run to extraction zone leaving about 1-2 seconds.
It was fun moment. The guy sent me thank you message.

Some players are simply not worth saving though.
If I see a player bleeding out without using a medi-gel even once, I really don`t care about it since that player obviously prefer bleeding out.

No. I try to get all of them killed by going to the other side of the map and forcing spawns onto them. Often, this will prompt them to use rockets (which they haven't used at all in the first 10 waves), which always amuses me.

Personally, I'll do what I can for pugs until the last 30secs. Once that's all the time left they're on their own unless they've made it to the extraction.
Its not that cut and dry though. Pugs that communicate get the same treatment as friends unless they've been dicks. Then I'll go out of my way to get them killed.

The worst offenders even get me dancing on their corpse too...
