This probably results in most of my deaths now that I think about it. This and ravager goo/swarmers/arm cannons/buttlazers/guddamn grenades.

If they deserve it, yes, I'll risk my life for that...even more since I don't really need credits.

But they rarely deserve it.

Ah it's just something I would do if I was playing an Infil though lol!:D

It's what I do when I play an infiltrator in PUGs, probably the best way to go about it. Also don't feel like saving the people who missile on wave 11 which has been becoming more common. Just got out of a match with that happening. Happy to know that they save their gels and missiles until it comes to the waves where I won't be there to save them, they'll need it all.

The amount of times I've heard him shout, "every infiltrator for themselves!"

Do I really need to use the GI that less?
I feel bad :/
Time for more krogan soldier/sentinel love then.

Nah, Pint, you're good, I like the way you play

What exactly do you mean by saving? Helping them to reach to landing zone? It is not possible.
True PUGs are usually already there and dead when you get there. Or helping them to protect landing zone? It is fun and risky. Especially against the Collectors. Is wise to keep all of your missiles for this courageous act.

It's with a Shadow, but I do this even when I'm not using an infiltrator.

It's sorta a compulsion for me.

Extraction isn't for scrubs. They are indoctrinated and an enemy faction unto themselves.

I'm guilty of the "No man left behind" mentality. Just ask my coworkers. Sometimes it's a bit detrimental, but sometimes it really pays off in karmic justice.

A couple of months back, I was in a public match against Collectors (or was it Reapers?) on FB Glacier. The other two people on the squad were rather new, so I'm not surprised their awareness wasn't up to snuff, especially with Glacier being tight quarters and lots of walls. It was pretty much me (HFEngineer) and this other dude (Geth Infil, I think), just running and gunning all match. When it came down to extraction, my combat drone and I were drawing enemies away from the LZ because the other two had gone straight for the LZ on Wave 11. I knew where my escape route was but a scion and some mooks had just spawned to my left and were coming up the corridor that *had* been my escape route.

Turns out the Infiltrator was hiding just around the corner by the LZ and covered my escape. I dropped a sacrificial drone in the midst of the enemies and ran for dear virtual life. We both made it with 10s to spare. Full extraction. It was great. All those times when I went to drag another player from near-death back to the LZ paid off.

In my defence, I kicked Goosh out of a lobby, once.

If they go down like three steps from me, then I'll go get them. Otherwise, I'll be waiting for my ride.

I got 2 nasty-grams from a PUG on Sunday (UUG) because of this. PUG was contributing at least a little bit (gels, missiles, objectives, for the most part) but generally was going down early and often. We'd revive him/her whenever it was feasible and presented low risk to the team, but by and large we just 2 or 3 manned most of the waves. Wave 11, he goes running straight for LZ, gets overwhelmed, bleeds out, no gels left (I assume). We rush the LZ as normal with a few seconds to spare, he sends me an all-caps msg yelling at me for not reviving him during the game. I responded saying we did what we could when it wouldn't pose significant risk to the team and of course he responded with another nasty-gram saying we let him bleed out in the LZ because we were on the other side of the map "in japan" (he really said that! I guess Japan is the furthest place in the world from where he is??). I replied back saying he shouldnt go to the LZ right away and that there's a reason we were so far away.

tl;dr PUG got made at me for not reviving him in the LZ at beginning of wave 11

This. I'll do everything I can to help, but once the clock hits 15 seconds and you go down, you need to gel, unless you're right in front of me at the landing zone.

If they're not holding the LZ, I will try to save them. If they're about to get sync killed, well, I save as many of my missiles for extraction as I can for a reason. But the point of this is: they can't be running around score whoring, they need to stand back and follow my lead.

A lot of my friends get killed for this reason :]

lol that's elitist/douchey prosthetic

I'll make an attempt to save them, but some people just don't want to be saved.. They'd rather try to cop-a-feel on a Banshee or negotiate the price of a handy with a Phantom. Oh well, no judging from me at all.

PUGS who whine about not being revived are not worth thinking about. I know when I don't make it, it's on me.
