Part of the point I felt with Javik was to dispel all these otherworldly preconceptions about the Protheans. You had the Hanar with their religious veneration of the Enkindlers, and Liara's romanticizing of what the Protheans were like. Having a straight up soldier with a very extreme point of view shot all of that to hell, which was a very welcome change for me. He didn't need to be a source of information that created a huge impact on the plot, because we already got that from Vigil and the legacy of the Prothean scientists who were dealt a similar hand as Javik.

Yeah I see what you're saying. I just feel like if a Prothean was ever going to appear, it should have been a more important part of the Reapers' defeat. Not just an extra squaddie with some extra information, however interesting that info may be. After all the mystery surrounding them, I just think that actually finding a living one should have been a momentous occasion, as it is, he feels like what he is - an extra squaddie.

Even today I am still wondering why this amazing character was not in the game the first place. In ME2 you had all these badass characters like Grunt, Thane etc. You can finish the game with 10 squadmates (12 with dlc) and on the other hand in ME3 you have the maximum nunber of 6 squadmates (7 with Javik who has so many common things with renegade Shepard)

I think they might've planned on that, but maybe just work couldn't out some things by deadline. So it was a first day DLC. Maybe the DVD's already went to factory or something? In any case, I just wish we had more Renegades like him to balance out the ME3 squad (Garrus isn't much of one any longer, I think). He's cool, but he also doesn't have the.... lust for life of Grunt or Jack either. Javik is the cynic among the Renegades. There's no one on this squad that perks me up and laughs like that. It's like Bioware wanted to make Schindler's List or something.

Not at all though. Those are two people you run across he actually approves of.

It's kind of touching actually after finishing Grissom, and you see Javik down in the spot where Jack was. He says she had a lot of anger and you helped her get revenge. "I hope you do the same for me, Commander.."

Yeah, I loved the interactions with Liara.  Talk about a rude awakening for her!  But, he also can help her grow some.  Especially after Thessia.  I think, overall though, he was just REALLY disapointed in the Asari.  They were groomed for greatness, and they mmissed the mark...by Prothean standards anyways.

Javik can't be Shepard, he's green, smells bad and is a male...

Plus I've seen them both in the same room at the same time, so explain that one!

I think this proves the IT.
